Brian Williams’s time at MSNBC is finally coming to an end. Within days, former disgraced MSNBC anchor Brian Williams will have left. Evening NewsAfter being fired for telling many lies, Williams is now leaving the cable network that supported him. But Williams isn’t going out quietly. On Wednesday night, the anchor rant about Joe Manchin’s most urgent problem.
Williams played a fairly innocuous clip of Manchin telling a crowd: “I’ve never changed. My life has never been the same. The same person I have always been. I am fiscally responsible and socially compassionate.” Talking to political strategist Mark McKinnon, the very wealthy Williams sneered, “So Mark, is it safe to assume the modest, Maserati-driving, houseboat-living man from West Virginia is a ‘no’ on the Biden bill?”
Williams ridicules anyone for being not a man among the people. He has a net worth of $50 million. He is not exactly the average Joe. The MSNBC host derided the people of West Virginia this way: “A state so red, it’s visible from space.”
The soon-to-be unemployed Williams apparently isn’t good at math because he then wondered if the Democrats, who only have 50 seats in a 100 seat chamber, could “do without” the moderate Manchin:
Mark, you are correct. Sincerely, I am asking this question. Are you positive that he is a positive factor in this election? Is he a good choice for the Democratic caucus of the Senate? They could make a deal? What would they be able to do without him?
Math-impaired people will find the answer in no.
Williams has clearly a problem dealing with moderates such as Manchin. Back in June, he encouraged Biden on handling his fellow Democrats: “Put less classily, lot of people would like to see [Biden] start throwing punches, kicking ass and taking names.”

MARK MCKINNON: In it’s current form, surely.

WILLIAMS – Mark, you are from the other side of this aisle. This is a sincere question. Are you positive that he is a positive factor in this election? Is he a good choice for the Democratic caucus of the Senate? What if they could trade their votes? What if they didn’t have his vote?
…
WILLIAMS: West Virginia is a good example. It’s so bright that it can be seen from space.
