Whoopi Goldberg (co-host of The View) is clearly not a friend to pro-lifers and has had words to share with them as The Supreme Court heard arguments regarding the case. Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case.

Wearing an ugly Christmas sweater, Goldberg went on a rant directed at men which contained a lot of “how dare you’s.” This is a pretty ludicrous position to take, namely because it insinuates that only men are pro-life. Women are equally involved and often advocate for pro-life policies more strongly than men.
But that’s hardly the weirdest thing Goldberg said in her rant. Goldberg felt that it was necessary to punish men for believing they knew what a fetus wanted.
“Do any of you men have any eggs or the possibility of carrying a fetus? How dare you talk about what a fetus wants! You have no idea,” she said.
This was naturally followed up by applause by The View’s audience.
Do any of the men in your group have eggs? Or are they at risk of having a baby? Talk about what the fetus desires! It is impossible to know.

Contrary to Goldberg’s self-assured seat on her high horse, it’s actually pretty easy to figure out what a fetus wants. A steady stream of the necessary materials is important to it, as well as a healthy mother for gestation.
I can tell you what it doesn’t want.
It doesn’t want to die.
The instinctive nature of a fetus can be overwhelming at times. Its brain, heart, and body are all in development, so the concept of “want” actually doesn’t apply until later, but if we’re talking in terms of what it instinctively strives for being a “want,” then a fetus definitely wantsTo live. There’s a whole host of things both mother and baby do to make sure that happens both consciously and unconsciously.
Goldberg, my question is simple.
It’s an honest question that I think deserves an answer. Goldberg should be open to using her mysterious powers for mankind’s benefit if she really is a fetus whisperer. We need to know about suicidal foetuses.
But I’m willing to bet Goldberg doesn’t have this power. I’m also willing to bet that in her heart of hearts she knows that was a stupid thing to say as there absolutely is no logic to it.
This is true for many pro-abortion arguments. A lot of it is confused with feminist declarations of “freedom,” anti-patriarchy spite, and unscientific declarations with no grounding in reality. A good deal of the pro-abortion crowd is rage and pride, and that can only get you so far in terms of advancing a cause, but at least it’s good enough to get you a co-hosting position on The View.
