The term “gaslighting” comes from the 1938 British play “Gas Light.” In the play, a woman’s husband pushes her to the edge of sanity by insisting their gas lighting is not dimming. Actually, the gas lighting is dimming. Gaslighting refers to a manipulative tactic that convinces people what they perceive and believe is not true.
The last four years have seen Democrats rail against Donald Trump because he gaslighted America. Trump, in reality, would say many things that weren’t true and his supporters would follow him. It is now the Democrats turn, and they, along with their media friends, are not too worried. It appears that the majority of mainstream media are actually supporting the gawking.
MGM created a propaganda movie for Franklin Roosevelt in 1933 to help him promote his plan to create inflation to end the Great Depression. “As you probably know, the first step in the inflation plan puts 3 billion additional dollars in circulation. This will result in money becoming more scarce and therefore less valuable. As money is less valued, so will the buying power of dollars. Therefore, the cost of living will be forced up.” That was from 1933.
In the Great Depression, prices and wages fell sharply. This is no longer the case. At one time, inflation was thought to be a good thing. Today, inflation is a bad thing. Prices are skyrocketing. America is being lied to by the Biden administration, who claims that dumping $3 trillion in the economy will stop inflation. The exact opposite is going to happen. Already, inflation is already taking place with all of the money that has been deposited into the economy.
Assuming that everyone gets $500 from the government to get an Xbox, it is either going to run out of supply immediately, or the price will rise to ensure there’s enough. Inflation is the result. Because the Biden administration has poured so much money into our economy, prices have soared to compensate for the difference between supply and demand. Inflation is a problem.
Biden’s administration claims that wages are rising repeatedly. Another example of gaslighting. Inflation has outpaced wages and wage increases have been minimal. The dollar’s purchasing power now is less than the dollar purchased six months back. The wage is being cut.
Also, the Biden administration has been blaming Americans for their inability to pay fuel prices. Oil is a global commodity and the president has no control over it. This is their official position. Even last year, when everyone was ill, you can take out. Fuel prices were much lower two years ago.
The Biden administration’s progressives have worked tirelessly to raise fuel prices. Democrats had openly stated that higher fuel costs were necessary to lower demand for fossil-fuels until it was revealed in their polls. Biden government canceled plans for pipelines, cancelled exploration leases on federal lands and increased regulations costs for petroleum producers. This has contributed to current fuel shortages. As a net exporter, the United States of America was energy’s largest country at that time. We now need to ask OPEC for more.
The American media was largely complicit in all this. MSNBC just tweeted a story claiming that inflation is good for America. Some in the media have also stated that inflation is a great way to encourage Americans to spend less. Other people argued that shortages were a good thing since if Americans spend less they will produce less. That is good news for the planet.
At the moment, Democrats appear almost determined to lose 2022’s midterm elections. Democrats doubled their efforts to accuse voters of being racist after the Virginia elections. Virginia’s voters elected the first Hispanic and black lieutenant governor. But the talking heads in the press said it was just further proof of racism while still denying “critical race theory” is a thing.
Democrats are guilty of choosing not to tell the truth, and instead have used the media to advance an anti-factual narrative. They then send the mob after the boy who points to the fact that their emperor is naked. With truth in short supply, they scream, “But Trump!”
