We’ve been seeing a lot of reactions to the FBI raid on President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
Conservatives are understandably angry because they care about rule of law, and how the FBI is politicized. Political pundit and former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino ripped the action, calling it “third-world bulls**t” and said it was a “clarion call” for everyone to get off their seats and vote the Democrats out of office. Lara Trump and Eric Trump were also critical of the raid. Eric pointed out that the family even broke open the safe inside the home but that there was nothing. Lara called it a “weaponization” of the FBI.
But now there’s an alarm being raised by the person you might truly think would be the last person to object to a raid on Donald Trump — former N.Y. Gov. Andrew Cuomo — once the man some Democrats proposed to put up against Donald Trump in the race for the presidency before his scandals drove him out of office.

Now that’s surprising. It’s shocking to see the extent of it when Cuomo is able to get it. Of course, the Jan. 6 “investigation” had already blown all their credibility with the biased actions that they have taken against Trump. That’s just a political action to try to smear him and prevent him from running again.
It wasn’t just Cuomo, former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang was also concerned about the signal this was sending.
I’m no Trump fan. He should be as far from the White House and as much as possible. But a fundamental part of his appeal has been that it’s him against a corrupt government establishment. Millions of Americans will view this raid as unfair persecution.

Cuomo was right. If it is the National Archives requesting documents, and Democrats trying take down Trump or stop him running for office in the future, this would be unconscionable. Especially when there were many avenues to access the documents. This is truly a unique action. As they rightly point out, it isn’t going down well with American citizens. I already can’t count the number of people I have spoken to who are outraged by this action, including Democrats. It’s going to drive anyone who was on the fence over to Trump and the Republican side — to stand against a banana republic type of action like this.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) pointed to Cuomo’s words and demanded that the warrant be released and the FBI be upfront about what was going on because so far they’re not talking.
