When Arrowhead Stadium’s Audio Went Out During the National Anthem, the Fans Took Up the Task – Opinion

The Kansas City Chiefs may have lost to the Cincinnati Bengals for the right to head to the Super Bowl, but everyone got a collective “W” before the game even started thanks to the patriotic crowd that had shown up to watch the game.

The audio for Grammy Award-winning singer Ashanti seemed to be shaky during the Star-Spangled Banner singing before the game started. It was as if her microphone had malfunctioned. She sang the song as though it were working, but it must continue.

And while Ashanti continued to sing in on-and-off silence, the crowd at Arrowhead Stadium wasn’t about to let our National Anthem not reverberate throughout the area. The crowd started singing the National Anthem in a beautiful moment.

The NFL was subject to a severe attack on social justice trifling in the past. This included players kneeling during National Anthem protests against the United States. Black Lives Matter messages were even adopted by the NFL, with helmets being covered in slogans and name tags of various political groups.

The NFL became leftist and the NFL saw huge drops in viewership and attendance. The NFL saw a 33% drop in viewership between 2017 and 2018.

Needless to say, the league’s penchant to cave to the social justice community never paid off for it. The league was abandoned by fans. Colin Kaepernick, one of the anti-American activists in spirit, and other players, however, supported them even as they laid the red carpet. It’s been made clear time and again that when it comes to politics, the NFL isn’t the place.

But it is the place for patriotism, and regardless of the NFL’s attempts to appease an ungrateful and viciously biased left, the fans haven’t bought into it and continue to show pride and support for the greatest country that has ever existed in the history of mankind. Arrowhead Stadium was the place to be on Sunday and should serve as a huge wake-up call for league officials.

Football and America go hand-in-hand and despite the hard-left attempting to co-opt it for their cause like they do with everything else, they won’t have enough to overcome the patriotism of the fans. Although they might win some victories, American pride is stronger and will last for longer than any sociopolitical trend.
