What Trump Russia Collusion? CNN Says Fox Never Admits They’re Wrong

On Sunday morning’s Trustworthy sources on CNN, host Brian Stelter opened his show like he always does by whining about conservative media coverage of whatever issue or controversy he’s particularly exercised about. He brought in Bill Carter, CNN’s media analyst, to discuss how the conservative media had initially been skeptical of the rape attempt on a 10-year-old Ohio girl who was seeking an abortion.

Once enough reliable sources confirmed the story, and after the illegal alien responsible for the rape of the girl was detained, conservative media believed the same thing as everyone else.

Stelter started off kvetching how in the “last four days MSNBC’s talked about abortion three times as much as Fox.” Turning to Carter, Stelter bemoaned “in the wake of this story being confirmed, Fox has sort of moved away from it and there’s focus on it from left-wing media.”

Carter replied with:

Fox News and all of the right-wing media refuse to admit that they are wrong. Ever! They won’t accept it. They’d never acknowledge that they’re wrong. In this instance, the Ohio attorney general couldn’t perform the same job as a local reporter. He claimed that even with all the power he held, he could not find any evidence to suggest that something was happening.

Continuing on his rant, Carter claimed Fox News “put him on to spout this and it really speaks to the idea that everybody shoots from the hip now. This was without any thought. They didn’t bother saying well, this case could this possibly be true?”

Stelter then jumped in and falsely claimed “some conservatives say the pro-abortion media picks out the worst cases, the most horrible crimes in order to make the argument for all abortion all the time. But actually, this is not a rare case.”

Bill Carter’s inability to appear on CNN and claim that another network does not acknowledge when their reports are being produced is a sign of hypocrisy. CNN spent the entire presidency of Donald Trump pushing the Russia collusion hoax, and they still haven’t apologized even after it’s been proven to be a complete lie.

BRIAN STELTER: Yeah in the last four days, I checked closed captioning transcripts, last four days MSNBC’s talked about abortion three times as much as Fox. So Bill in the wake of this story being confirmed, Fox has sort of moved away from it and there’s focus on it from left-wing media.

BILL CARTER: Well, that’s the thing, Fox and the whole right-wing media do not want to ever acknowledge that they’re wrong. Ever! They won’t accept it. They’d never acknowledge that they’re wrong. In this instance, you had an Ohio attorney general who could not do the same job as a local reporter. He claimed that even with all the power he held, he could not find any evidence to suggest that something was happening.

They put him on and he spits this. It really speaks to the notion that everyone shoots from their hips now. That was it. This case may be true, but they did not bother to explain why. The timing was obvious and they pursued it, even though there were 50 Ohio cases last year that involved the exact same situation. That’s amazing.

STELTER: That’s the thing, Bill. Some conservatives claim that pro-abortion media chooses the most terrible cases to justify all abortion. However, it isn’t an uncommon case.

CARTER: Not rare.

STELTER: This is not an uncommon case. It’s possible that the people who made it seem fake are not willing to accept what these laws actually mean.

CARTER There were 63 cases in the previous year. There were 50 people in the year prior. There was 70 something the year before. This is what has always happened. This could certainly have occurred, all you need to do is take a look at it and think about what might have been. It’s probably a hoax.

STELTER : I agree, and will copy what you wrote in an email. You said this isn’t about right and left it’s about right versus wrong! It’s about crimes.
