For the past two weeks, American media has focused on Joe Rogan, the podcaster extraordinaire. The Spotify host has gotten a lot of attention for garnering a lot more views and listeners than most “traditional” hosts on the mainstream media platforms and it has, in particular, really ticked off the journalist wanna-bes at CNN.
Below are only two instances of RedState employees who have covered this topic in the last few days.

CNN’s Confusion About Joe Rogan’s Popularity Says a Lot About Them
If the circus continues over Rogan, and his very inept campaign to cancel it, then why is leftists trying to pursue one of their own this way?
Joe Rogan, as you might say, is a lefty.
I’m just repeating what the man himself has said..
The website Heavy…Joe Rogan Unpacks His Politics: ‘I’m Socially Liberal’
Joe Rogan maintained that his political views are a broad spectrum, and did not align with any one party for many years. Rogan spoke with Mike Baker, a former CIA officer on a podcast episode called The Joe Rogan Experience.
“I don’t give a f*** if you’re a Republican or a Democrat. I share ideas from both sides,” Rogan told Baker. “I’m kind of a hybrid in a lot of ways. I’m a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment, I’m a big supporter of the military. But I’m very liberal, I’m socially very liberal. I don’t buy this idea that I have to be a part of one party or another party.”
In January 2020, Rogan said “I’ve been liberal my whole life.”
Rogan fits more in the traditional liberal mold, which is about as far away as Mercury is from Pluto — in terms of distance from the progressive dumpster fire that liberals of today are. This VIP article below explains the difference between Bill Maher and Rogan. You can also join the VIP members if you’re not already a member. Click HERE)
Don’t Put Classic Liberals Like Bill Maher on a Pedestal, but Appreciate Their Honesty.
From that article…
When I say that Maher is a traditional liberal, I’m talking about throwbacks like two former vice presidents in the mold of Walter Mondale and Hubert Humphrey. They believed that the federal government needed to do more things to “help people” by taking away their motivation to do for one’s self, since a bureaucrat in the Capitol in Washington, D.C., could do it better. I know that this is a brief encapsulation, but I wanted to give you an idea of what I’m talking about. Maher also fits into this mold, being that those two, former elected officials and others like them would NEVER object to folks speaking out peacefully or advocating for people they disagree with being “canceled” in the name of achieving their objectives.
Russell Brand is now a member of that comic club. Russell Brand did a hilarious breakdown of leftist journalism last week and specifically focused on CNN. Russell Brand’s Hilarious Brian Stelter Take, as More Reports Show Why No One Trusts Him
People who are liberal on the political spectrum speak out all the time about coverage. They are stepping in the fray to extinguish the grossness and smoldering nature of wokeism.
These people are smart enough to realize that eventually the rest of the world will be awakened. An inexorable rage must be fuelled at all costs. The targets up until this point have been simple and the fightback has been slow. Peak dopeyness is when someone can’t be stopped for using the wrong pronoun.
This can be put another way: These men and others are beginning to realize that the words of Ronald Reagan years ago still hold true today.
To sit back hoping that someday, someway, someone will make things right is to go on feeding the crocodile, hoping he will eat you last – but eat you he will.
I know that many of the writers here have join me in sharing this sentiment — that if things are to turn around in this country, those who practice the noble art of comedy will have to lead the way. The ability to see the absurdities in people is what comics rely on. Over the past 246 year, this nation has stood out from other countries by being able to think freely and speak freely.
It must continue. Thankfully, liberals like Rogan, Brand, and Maher — along with many others — are standing up and saying enough is enough. Don’t be afraid to have the debates, and if someone zings you, don’t look for the free speech referee to throw a flag to save your feelings.
Pick the flag up and dab your eyes, cupcake — and move along.
This is the last of these, taken from HeavyInterview: Rogan made a comment that I find very amusing.
Rogan stated that when President Joe Biden was elected Democratic presidential nominee in summer 2020, he preferred to vote for Donald Trump over Biden. He expressed what he believed to be concerns about the 78-year-old Biden’s mental capacity.
Rogan said during the April podcast episode, “I can’t vote for that guy. I’d rather vote for Trump than him. I don’t think he can handle anything. You’re relying entirely on his cabinet. If you want to talk about an individual leader who can communicate, he can’t do that. Und we don’t know what the f*** he’ll be like after a year in office.”
Read that again (and I added some emphasis): “You’re relying entirely on his cabinet. If you want to talk about an individual leader who can communicate, he can’t do that. And we don’t know what the f*** he’ll be like after a year in office.”
We had an inkling of what he might be like as an office worker, having seen him at his best, when he was just Deleware’s train wreck. The whole world now knows and is horrified.
