The police are still on the scene. cleared the Ambassador Bridge earlier on SundayAlthough some Freedom Convoy protesters were detained, other protesters remained unmoved in surrounding streets. It is clear that the protestors were blocking a section of the Bridge, and the Canadian government was trying to get it removed. Yet, the government showed that wasn’t the only reason for targeting the people — since they are still going after protesters.
This is the summary of events from the prior action.
My friend @markgollomPolice just came through with this:
– 12 arrests, most charged with mischief
– 7-10 vehicles towed
– no resisting arrest
– no injuries
– hoping to have roads cleared and traffic moving on them later today
– not clear when bridge will re-open— Katerina Georgieva (@KatGeorgieva) February 13, 2022
But police are still going after protesters even though they’re on the sidewalks, and not apparently blocking anything.
Caution for use of coarse language
It’s not clear how long the cat-and-mouse game can continue as police try to push out the remaining demonstrators who keep walking away and then coming back pic.twitter.com/hzxsFQjHTi

Meanwhile, although it’s been cleared, authorities haven’t opened up the bridge yet.
In Ottawa, thousands of Freedom Convoy protesters are still in the centre. However, over the last 2 days there has been a counter-protest with some waving Communist Flags.
Their organizer was riling them up against “fascists,” and can be seen here waving a Communist flag.

People who were under Communism in Poland can offer some insight to the leftists.
Polish immigrants share their story of fleeing communism back in the 80s. This is a message for those who fly communist flags during counter-protests. #Ottawa #TruckersForFreedom #FreedomConvoy2022 #Cdnpoli #ParliamentHill pic.twitter.com/qGxKzq7JNZ

The Premier of Alberta made a post about this group and observed that the Freedom Convoy folks ran out plants bearing objectionable flags.
Two weeks ago, I called upon convoy organizers not to be associated with symbols of hate displayed by small numbers of people. They agreed.
Today pro-lockdown counter protestors displayed Communist flags & signs in Ottawa, but the media has been predictably silent about it pic.twitter.com/gUBLGqxFdw

Kenney is one of Canada’s premiers who has announced that he would be dropping mandates.
The guy holding the bullhorn leads the group and is not being chased out. They’re all marching to its banner, which tells you everything you need to know about this group.
You also had union people who were ‘encouraged’ to come out and march, holding signs against ‘hate.’
This is a very funny notice.
Because the Trudeau government was concerned about dangerous protests in Ottawa and their union PSAC (Public service alliance of Canada), emailed their members on Friday, February 11 to counter them. Legacy media… crickets pic.twitter.com/ME6Y2lT1fX

The only ones causing problems at the protest are not the Freedom Convoy people, but counter-protesters. Not the Freedom Convoy people, but counter-protesters, who were trying to block the Convoy protesters’ cars and who were causing confrontations — just like the BLM does. The signs were being displayed on a car and one Freedom Convoy member was reported to have been hit by one. They were stopped by the police who had to come to their aid.
The counter-protest in Ottawa calling for restriction has just stopped vehicles from reaching the downtown.

Counter protestors allow cars to continue leaving, however they do not permit them to go without an escort from the police #cdnpoli #ottnews pic.twitter.com/oIrLRNLGvu

One Freedom Convoy protester tried to talk with them. But the counter-protesters couldn’t stop spewing hate, as he pointed out. They weren’t interested in the truth. Good for him for trying, but these folks can’t be reasoned with.
Protesters approached their vehicle and argued.

Now, we should note that the counter-protesters didn’t go downtown where the Freedom Convoy main contingent is camped; they didn’t have the nerve for that.
Looks like they didn’t have any real confrontations with the Freedom Convoy, so they had to bring in counter-protesters to get the real extremism.
