WashPost Poll Finds Most Americans Don’t Want Transgenders in Women’s Sports

It is easy to assume that Americans will be okay with the impact of LGBT ideology on all aspects of American society, especially in the middle of Pride Month.

A new however, is in the works Washington Post-University of Maryland poll showed that a strong majority of Americans still have a strong measure of common sense on the issue of transgendered women playing sports alongside real women. The poll, which surveyed 1,503 Americans, found that 55 percent said that they opposed transgendered women playing the same sports in high school. This number rose to 58 percent in college and professional sports.

Post article about the poll further explained: “About 3 in 10 Americans said transgender women and girls should be allowed to compete at each of those levels, while an additional 15 percent have no opinion.”

Here’s the complete story:

Pew Research Center released a poll last Tuesday showing that 0.6% of Americans are transgender. But, among Americans aged 18 and 29, this number rose to 2.1%. An additional 1 percent of Americans said they are nonbinary — neither a man nor a woman, or not strictly one or the other — a share that rose to 3 percent of people 18 to 29.

Gallup’s 2021 telephone survey found that 0.7% of adult respondents identified as transgender. However, a larger proportion identified as gay (1.5%), lesbian (0.1%), bisexual (4.0%), or some other non-heterosexual identity (3.3%).

The results reflect a trend towards states taking active steps to protect the integrity and future of women’s sports. 18 states have adopted laws that mandate athletes must participate in leagues consistent with their gender, Louisiana being the latest.

Only hope is that Americans realize how dangerous this idea really is, and then do all they can to end it.
