ABC’s Good Morning America put Hunter Biden into the news – a rare event – with an interview with his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle, who has a new memoir out on their turbulent life together.
Amy Robach was the interviewer. The questions were absurdly vague and the responses look meticulously curated. In a matter of seconds, the famous laptop came up. Robach said that Hunter had been doing drugs with prostitution and was looking “dissheveled”.
ROBACH: At what point in your marriage did you realize that Hunter had a drinking problem?
BUHLE: With addiction especially, there’s so much shame surrounding it that it becomes something that we don’t talk about?
ROBACH: We’ve seen Images of Hunter, including the one that were displayed on his laptop and looking disorganized. This was the man you only knew for a few moments.
BUHLE: Not at all. He was struggling under a massive drug addiction and that’s heartbreaking and painful and that wasn’t who I was married to.
Burisma revealed that Robach was more difficult when Hunter interviewed him. The exchange seemed to be intended to minimize Robach’s shameless buck-raking. Remember that Mrs. Hunter was the beneficiary of her family’s business.
ROBACH: Hunter and I met back in 2019. I asked him specifically whether or not he would have been asked to be on that Burisma board if his last name hadn’t been Biden and he said to me, “I don’t know, probably not. I don’t think there’s a lot of things that would have happened in my life if my last name wasn’t Biden.” Do you think that’s fair?
BUHLE: Not entirely. It is not easy to ask someone to tell you what part of their lives they inherited from their parents. I believe he knows this and has acknowledged that.
ROBACH: Did he deliberately curry favor or seek profit based on who his father was, that’s the question people ask. Did you ever see this in your wife’s experience?
BUHLE:My father was a person I admire. He loved and respected his parents. And he is proud to have been their son.
If this sounds like someone trying to stay in the First Family, you should know her daughter Naomi has a White House wedding coming up. In an almost seven-minute interview, it took them more than four minutes to get to Hunter cheating with his brother Beau’s widow, Hallie.
ROBACH: Buhle also recounts the day she learned of Biden’s relationship with her late brother-in-law’s widow Hallie, after Beau passed away. Hunter and she were married. She claims that one of her daughters discovered text messages on Hunter’s phone between her aunt and her father, and called Kathleen to tell her.
Was Joe Biden or Jill Biden ever open to talking about the events?Yes, I do know that they made a statement. I don’t know how that made you feel? They said they were supportive of Hunter’s relationship with Hallie.
BUHLE: The one thing I’ve never ever questioned was Joe and Jill’s love and attention to my three daughters.Although we were close, divorce was very difficult on us all. But we have come together through a mutual love for our daughters.
The obvious conclusion is that she may have questioned Joe’s and Jills love for each other. However, that wasn’t all that it left. ABC did not ask Hunter about Hunter’s child with Lunden Roberts. However, they can claim that it was after the divorce.
