Top Nevada Democrats were not present at the abortion roundtable that Vice President Kamala Harris hosted in Nevada. I wrote that the notable top-of-the-ticket absences, like embattled Governor Steve Sisolak and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto, might signal the post-Roe abortion issue wasn’t resonating with voters, here: VP Kamala Harris’ Abortion Tour Flops in Nevada
But I was mistakenIt is possible to.
The abortion problem is not something Democrats want to avoid. They will not be supporting President Joe Biden nor VP Kamala Harris.
Cortez Masto was film at an event for the campaign on August 12 during Tacos El Gordo’s grand opening (local’s tip: yes, it’s good food)Las Vegas. Cortez Massto refused to answer the question of a constituent about whether or not she would like to campaign with Biden in an exclusive video that was obtained by The Daily Caller. The Senator is asked by an attendee as she films.
“Sen. Masto, will you campaign with Biden this fall?”
Cortez Masto’s staff acted like the event attendee did something irredeemable or even dangerous. The Senator was ushered away by the staff, who then blocked and interrupted the Senator’s question. Ask a naughty questionHe tries again to inquire, despite the chaotic posturing by his assistants. The attendee does not lose heart and continues to inquire.
“Will you please answer for your constituents?”

It’s a ridiculous scene, but we already know the answer, so tell the staffers to Be calm. The Biden is being avoided by the Dems
The Washington Post published the following July:
“Those economic anxieties, combined with low approval ratings for Biden, have put Democrats like Cortez Masto on the defensive. The word “inflation” does not appear on the senator’s campaign website. Asked what she thinks of the White House’s efforts to address people’s economic woes, Cortez Masto neither praised nor criticized, and focused on Republicans. She does not answer questions about whether she supports Biden for reelection, telling reporters she is focused on her state.”
Cortez Masto might be reluctant to join the President’s campaign team due to his low approval rating of just 30%. Or, it could be the recent headlines about how the Senator’s husband had business dealings with the Biden campaign… and ended up in a cozy email on the Hunter Biden laptop from hell, here: For Sen Cortez Masto (D-NV), Being in Bed With the Bidens Is Bad Business.
Cortez Massto is one of America’s most vulnerable senators. Trafalgar Poll published Friday shows that Trump-endorsed candidate Adam Laxalt outranking the incumbent by 2.5 percentage points.
The Dems are addressing the issue of abortion. These areYou are trying to follow the Roe reversal’s coattails. Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak was busy on Friday rallying for reproduction with Rep. Jackie Rosen, D-NV. Both were absent from VP Harris’ visit, including an abortion roundtable in the state earlier in August.

She is ahead of her race in general on the taxpayer’s dime,Rep. Dina Titus (D. Nevada) recently sent me a large, multipage mailer, in full color and high gloss, about her Congressional work regarding (non?) reproductive care. reproductive care — bolstered with photos of her and pro-choice protestors who drew coat-hangers and expletives on poster board. American taxpayers! That was amazing. The dinner table is a place of joy.
Yet, in Nevada, there isn’t really a fight. It’s a fake fight.1991 amendments to the state constitution permitted abortion for 24 weeks. For specific reasons, state law also allows for an extension of this period. So, SCOTUS kicking the issue back to the states doesn’t mean much here. The state constitution would have to be changed by ballot. Do it twice.
Spoiler alert: it’s not on the ballot, but a bunch of liars will be. When they aren’t too busy clutching pearls over being asked basic questions, Dems-n-friends like to prey on the emotions of uninformed voters to win power.
Although their silence screams the loudest, Nevada’s Democrats aren’t alone in their aversion to the Biden Administration on the campaign trail. Ten-term congressional Rep. Tim Ryan, the Democratic nominee for Ohio’s Senate seat, missed Biden’s early July visit to Cleveland. Stacey Abrams, the Democratic Candidate for Governor of Georgia was absent from an Atlanta event where President Obama called upon senators to end the filibuster, and nationalize electoral laws.
While admin-allergy has been spotted in the swing states, it’s easy to confuse the Democrats’ absences and aversions toward the Biden cabinet as not wanting to alienate Hispanic voting blocks. The Silver State where Hispanics will swing the election, abortion was ranked among the most important issues for Latino voters. Don’t worry, the Dems won’t give up on a fight that isn’t one; They are avoiding all questions from constituents and Biden-related issues in their reelection campaigns.
