YouTube removed an interview of Ron Johnson, Wisconsin senator, due to his remarks on the COVID vaccination.
Johnson claimed he did not agree with the COVID-19 vaccination being given to children under 5 years of age. Show host Dan O’Donnell said the video was removed and his account was suspended for one week.
“I have just been informed that @YouTube has removed my interview with Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson (@SenTonJohnson) and suspended my account for a week,” O’Donnell tweeted. “Johnson, A SITTING UNITED STATES SENATOR, said he disagreed with the FDA’s pending approval of vaccines for 5-11 year olds.”
Johnson said that Johnson was also a believer in the power of prayer. opposed President Biden’s pending vaccine mandate for businesses with over 100 employees. He also noted that he saidHe is still undecided on whether or not he will be seeking another term as president, and will need to wait for several months before making that decision.
O’Donnell was flabbergasted at the removal and suspension.
“The fundamental American ideal of free and open discourse between representatives of the people (Senator Johnson) and members of the press (me) is being willfully and maliciously suppressed by companies like @GooglePlatforms like Twitter and Facebook are subject to censorship. @YouTube,” he tweeted.
Indeed, a video from then-Senator Kamala Harris indicated she would refuse to get vaccinated against COVID if it was created under the Trump administration is still on YouTube.
“If Donald Trump tells us we should take [a COVID vaccine], I’m not taking it,” she said at the time.
Johnson was previously suspended from YouTube for his comments on Hydroxychloroquine.
