It’s Tuesday and Jill Biden seems to have stepped into a taco mess after making embarrassing and offensive comments about Hispanics at the UnidosUS Conference in San Antonio.
As we noted, she not only went to a “LatinX IncluXion” luncheon, she said “bogidas” rather than bodegas and compared Hispanic people to breakfast tacos in their uniqueness.
It didn’t go well. Hispanic journalists blasted her, saying they were not “breakfast tacos.” Then some Hispanic politicians, including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rep. Mayra Flores (R-TX), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) had a little fun with her. Rubio shared a picture on his profile of a taco.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) — the guy most likely to succeed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) in the speaker’s position in the next term — had a great response, commenting on “taco inflation.”
The attention finally caused Jill Biden’s office to issue an apology on her behalf, which was a lame apology since she didn’t make it herself.
Univision has the most hilarious memes about tacos that Biden can drop, and a great report.

Univision also observes that this comes at a time when the midterms are approaching — meaning this isn’t going to help Democrats — a great point to make.
This is a major failure for the White House. They even falsified an official White House transcript.
Meanwhile, a Washington Post reporter says it’s “worth noting” that before Jill Biden made her “taco gaffe,” “her entire speech was read and signed off on by the White House offices of intergovernmental affairs, legislative affairs, and public liaison.”

Seriously? Is it really that difficult to compare people with tacos? Plus, this kind of continual ignorant pandering reveals they don’t understand very much about Hispanics or people in general.
People like to see results and not be pandemic. What people across the board are seeing is that the Biden Administration doesn’t get it when it comes to a raft of issues, but most especially inflation. That’s one of the reasons why so many Hispanics seem to be turning their noses up at the Democrats in the polls at this point.
