TV Actress Defends Her Decision To Get An Abortion

Laura Prepon, who stars in the show “Orange Is The New Black,” shared her experience with abortion in hopes to convince others that murdering babies is okay.

Prepon shared in an Instagram story that she and Ben Foster had ended a 2018 pregnancy during the second trimester due to cystic hygroma. This is an abnormality in the lymphatic system. According to her doctors, the baby wouldn’t make it past full term. Prepon was advised by the doctor that an abortion was needed.

“Our neonatal specialist told us the brain was not growing and the bones were not growing,” Prepon said. “We were told the pregnancy would not go to full term and that my body was at risk carrying any longer. Ben held me as I cried. We had to terminate the pregnancy.”

This post contained an emotional cry to women for autonomy and control over their bodies.

Prepon can’t hide her regret despite all of the emotion.

Although Prepon’s baby was diagnosed with a serious condition, it does not guarantee a healthy and long life.

However, the fact that there is a chance that the baby might not live does not mean the doctors or Prepon are given a murder-with-no-consequence card. You cannot kill a baby and not give it the chance to live.

One woman, for example, was an American missionary who took strong medications to fight amoebic dientery. She was informed that her medication would probably cause harm to the unborn baby. The woman refused to abort her baby from the start of her pregnancy.

Tim Tebow was born nine months later.

So if Prepon didn’t get the abortion, would that mean her child would be alive today? While we cannot be certain, Prepon’s husband and doctors wouldn’t have any blood on them. The life of a child is precious and should never be taken away.

Prepon might also face serious health issues. Fair enough, however, pregnancy can be dangerous and may cause serious complications. Prepon is responsible for all these issues. If a situation proves difficult for you, it does not mean that you have the right to harm someone else in order to save yourself.

Prepon, and many others, want to defend the decisions they have made but cannot with logic. No matter what reason you have for aborting, abortion is no new lifesaver.
