Donald Trump, former President of the United States, appealed against the dismissal in the case challenging his ban on Twitter.
Trump contends that the platform broke his freedom to speak when it ban him permanently after the Jan. 6th riots.
NewsBusters reported that the lawsuit was dismissed earlier in the year after U.S. District Judge James Donato ruled that Trump’s legal team failed to prove that Twitter acted as a government agent when it banned him.
“I read, reread and read again your complaint and I’m not seeing any coercive statements by state actors and that is the hook you are hanging your hat on,” Bloomberg News reported that Judge Donato said at the time.
Appeal means that the case will now be sent to the U.S.9th. Circuit Court of Appeals.
