‘Three Propositions on Which All of Us Can Agree’ – Opinion

Ted Cruz (Republican Senator from Texas) is on it. You can find him at Is You can find it here.

Cruz is at his best on Tuesday during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on H.R.350 — The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2022 — yet another politically expedient bill, ushered through Nancy Pelosi’s House in the aftermath of the Buffalo supermarket mass shooting in early May.

Cruz starts his remarks with three simple propositions. He stated that Republicans and Democrats must be able to come up with a common understanding.

Three propositions should unite Senate Democrats and Republicans:

1. Violent crimes are unacceptable and must be dealt with severely

2. Hate is wrong

3: The machinery of the federal government shouldn’t be used to target political opponents.

In the slim chance that you’re a Democrat — or whatever — do you have a problem with any of Cruz’s propositions? Please let us know if you have any questions in the comments section below.

Cruz was masterful — in both content and delivery — as transcribed from the above video.

There should at least be three things on which everyone can agree. Number one, violence is unacceptable and must be dealt with severely. The second is that hate is wrong. Number three is that the federal government’s machinery should not be used to persecute or target political opponents.

“All three of those propositions should be ideas that bring us together regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum,” he added. “Unfortunately, we see over and over again efforts to politicize acts of violence.”

Amen.

And nobody does it “better” than Joe Biden — except, perhaps His mentor, Barack Obama, who nearly pulled a hamstring rushing to a TV camera to call for stringent gun-control legislation during every “mass” shooting during his presidency.

As RedState reported, following the Buffalo shooting, both Biden and his inept vice president, Kamala Harris, made fools out of themselves as they rushed to condemn everyone from Fox News host Tucker Carlson to “domestic terrorism,” “hate crime” (aka: “white supremacy”), and of course, legal firearms themselves— the guiltiest of all.

Speaking of “white supremacy,” Cruz himself raised the subject — and condemned it outright. (You know, just like the Democrats condemned Black Lives Matter and Antifa thugs — aka: “peaceful protesters” — who rioted, burned buildings, and indiscriminately shot police officers following George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis. Just kidding.)

White supremacy is when vicious hate groups such as the Klan and the Nazi Party are involved. I believe they should be decried.

Bingo. But? But?

I do think my colleagues on the Democratic side of the aisle try very hard to erase the history of the Klan — that it was formed by elected Democrats, that its leadership was almost entirely elected Democrats; that the authors of the Jim Crow laws were without exception elected Democrats.

And then the Hammer of Truth — perfectly swung. Game, set, match. Democrats, thanks for participating. Enjoy your day.

And I also think today’s congressional Democrats try to use the charge of white supremacy which is undoubtedly evil, bigoted, and wrong, and weaponized by their own party, they try to use that as a proxy for attacking a political party they disagree with.

They do this by decreasing anti-Jewish violence and anti-Asian violent, violence directed towards white people, and violence directed toward police.

You are spot-on.

“Shockingly,” Biden and Democrats don’t want to talk about the rise in crime against Asians in America, much less the perpetrators of the majority of those crimes. Are you concerned about rising anti-Semitism in America? Biden, or AnyDemocrat condemn that, recently? Me, neither.

“My view is simple,” Cruz concluded: “Violence is always wrong — whatever your ideology; left-wing, right-wing, no wings. If you are seeking to hurt people, it is wrong.”

Sometimes, Senator Cruz — and America — simple is best.

There is no violence. Evil is evil. The rights of law-abiding citizens cannot be curtailed.
