Unfortunately, every time there is a mass shooting tragedy in America there are politicians and media figures – mostly on the left – who take radical Democrat Rahm Emanuel’s “never let a crisis go to waste” mantra to heart in how they respond, first by stomping all over those who call for thoughts and prayers and second by rushing to blame “the right” for what happened, whether it be Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Tucker Carlson or whichever right-wing mover and shaker they find to be most influential at the time.
We all know that Carlson was the victim of Democrats’ harsh criticism after Saturday’s massacre at Buffalo’s grocery store, which left 10 people dead and injured, in an apparent racist attack.
But he’s not the only one. As per the norm, anti-gun left-wing politicos who have made it a nasty habit over the years to refuse to wait for the facts before taking to the Twitter machine to cast blame also jumped on right-wing members of Congress who in the past haven’t been shy about expressing their support for the 2nd Amendment.
Such was the case Sunday with Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.), who prefers to be a keyboard warrior rather than confront the objects of his ire directly to their faces because that’s just the kind of “tough guy” he is.
24 hours hadn’t even passed between the time of the Buffalo murders before Swalwell dropped this tweet about Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), a staunch gun-rights proponent who sent leftists to the fainting couches in December 2021 when he shared a Christmas photo of him and his family members holding their weapons of choice.
Swalwell added a “caption this” to his tweet, hoping to rack up tons of dunks on Massie:
Caption this: pic.twitter.com/6zuPJ0vCmi

Except it was Massie who got the last laugh on Swalwell, responding in mind with a photo and caption of his own, reminding people of the infamous Fang Fang “Chinese honeypot” controversy Swalwell found himself in back in 2020. Swalwell has denied the allegations but those “in the know” say he’s full of it:
Let’s say you have a caption that applies to both my photo and yours.
“Patriotism and Family Values.” https://t.co/bHsXLeL3t6 pic.twitter.com/4tut5ql2W2— Thomas Massie (@RepThomasMassie) May 17, 2022
Ouch! That one’sYou will leave your mark.
Sadly, Swalwell’s tweet to Massie is not the only thing that backfired on the failed 2020 presidential candidate over the weekend. As we previously reported, Swalwell’s response to Laguna Woods, California mass shooting at a Taiwanese church that left one dead and several others injured was to show exactly how depraved he and his colleagues are:
Sorry @housegopThat the parishioners tied your boy. #SorryNotSorry https://t.co/y71ywlLn6N
— Rep. Eric Swalwell (@RepSwalwell) May 16, 2022
The thing is the “boy” in question (the alleged perp) was not of the “white supremacist” variety Swalwell was trying to insinuate. He’s a Chinese immigrant, according to the L.A. Times. A man of Asian descent lost his lifeTo stop the shooter from inflicting more injuries,
I’ve found that the best thing to do after hearing about mass tragedies is first to pray and then stay offline for 24 hours before reacting. Swalwell could also benefit from this advice. However, he seems to enjoy opening his mouth, inserting his feet as many times as possible, for the sweet RTs, likes, and other nice things. It’s something that does ZERO to help this country grieve and find solutions, but as history has shown us this is about the “best” we can expect out of self-important creeps like Swalwell.
