The View Finds Putin ‘Smart’ and We Need More Domestic Oil Production

There was a serious case of whiplash during ABC’s The View on Friday as co-host Sunny Hostin called Russian dictator Vladimir Putin “smart” for attacking the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, an accolade that was deemed a treasonous act earlier in the week after former President Trump said something similar. If things didn’t seem out of place with that, Hostin also called for an increase in U.S. domestic oil production and a freeze of Russian oil exports.

“I think it was a strategic move by Putin,” Hostin said of the Russian assault on the power plant, which wasn’t in danger of a meltdown or explosion. “I understand that people say he’s a maniac, but maybe he’s this kind of, you know, smart maniac, a genocidal maniac.”

As a way for Putin send a message, she broke it down.

Because you can take over an unworking nuclear power plant and still have the nuclear fuel. This is a clear signal to the world that it’s possible for things to get more dire.

“I understand that the United States doesn’t want to sanction their oil supply, but that’s what I think they need to do,”Hostin stated that it was an act of genius.

Joy Behar, Joy Behar’s cohost was there as well. Although she ignored that Republicans had been calling for this since the invasion, Joy Behar made it clear that she supports it. “that’s what Nancy Pelosi is saying.”

Hostin reiterated her call for sanctions on Russian oil, and explained why it was necessary to boost U.S. oil production in order to maintain low prices.

Increase oil supplies While I can understand the concept of fracking, and climate change I also understand, it is still a major issue and a humanitarian emergency. My view is that if we increase our capacity to produce oil while freezing his ability to provide us with oil, it will hit him right where he needs it most.

A few minutes later, co-host Sara Haines went further and demanded we “take away our dependence on oil” altogether. Haines bragged about the pain environmentalists are experiencing, ignoring the fact that lithium, cobalt and other mineral needed to produce battery batteries were also damaging the environment.

This is one thing that when we talk about getting clean energy in this country every one says, “oh, here go the environmentalists again.” This is why we have to get off. This is not sustainable. We are dependent on the Middle East. It makes us dependent on places like Russia. If people don’t get serious about the fact that’s not an environmental issue, it’s an economic issue, it’s a national security issue.

There was no mention of the Biden administration saying they’re open to buying oil from the murderous Iranian regime instead.

“And I wish Republicans got on board with, at least, clean energy. At least clean energy,”Hostin also agreed. And as the segment ended, she declared that Special Counsel Robert “Muller warned us” about former President Trump and Russia.

These praises for Putin and whiplash were possible thanks to lucrative sponsorships by Unilever, Hershey and Hershey. The links below provide their contact information.

SUNNY HOTIN: It was probably a strategic move of Putin. While many people think Putin is mad, I believe he may be smarter than that. He could also be an genocidal maniac. It’s because he is sending out the message that it can only get worse when you take over an inoperable nuclear reactor, even though there’s some nuclear fuel within, along with the threats he made about taking nuclear weapons and nuclear war,

It is true that President Macron of France spoke to Putin. It is only going to get worse. I believe that our sanctions have helped to some extent, but we need to do more.

Although I know the United States does not want to sanction its oil supply, I believe that they should.

JOY BEHAR, Yes. Nancy Pelosi says that.

HOSTIN: I believe we should increase our oil supplies. I am a good person and understand the concept of fracking. But this issue is global and urgent. It is also a humanitarian emergency. It will hurt him the most if we can increase our production capacity and freeze his ability of giving us oil.

BEHAR: But we’re not the ones who use most of his oil. It’s Europe, really.

HOSTIN – We only use 10% of it.

BEHAR: Europe uses 40 percent of the above? It is my belief.

HOSTIN: This could cause an increase in oil prices. Globally, it could cause an increase in oil prices, however, let’s be honest, there are many other ways to make our oil cheaper.

SARAHAINES: It is time to get out of dependence on oil.

HOSTIN: Yes!

HAINES: This is one thing that when we talk about getting clean energy in this country everyone says, “oh, here go the environmentalists again.” This is why we have to get off. This is not sustainable. We are dependent on the Middle East. It makes us dependent on places like Russia. If people don’t get serious about the fact that’s not an environmental issue, it’s an economic issue, it’s a national security issue.

HOSTIN : It would be great if the Republicans were open to clean energy. Clean energy, at least!

BEHAR

HOSTIN : You are absolutely right. It’s here that you will see long-term change.
