In something of a double-down to a segment from last week, co-host Ana Navarro spent part of Monday’s The View making the totally rational argument (sarcasm) that sexually explicit drag shows weren’t that bad for kids, since kids aren’t killed by them like they are by guns. She also claimed red states were like Cuba and North Korea in that they’re supposedly barring their citizens from leaving their borders.
Navarro vented her anger at Ron DeSantis, the Florida Republican Governor of Florida for suing a venue hosting sexually explicit drag performances and allowing children to attend.
“And what we’re seeing in Florida, I can’t even comprehend.Here we are facing a housing crisis. In this state, we face an insurance crisis. We are in a crisis of climate. And instead, Ron DeSantis is focusing on drag queens,”On Monday, she hoarsed.
And despite saying that she doesn’t think “a 5-year-old should be at a drag show,” Navarro, who has no kids of her own, shouted about how this was just another “parental choice” issue conservatives are big on:
If you support parental choice for your kid to wear a mask at school, and if your kid learns the truth about slavery, you should be supportive of parental choice. Why in the hell can’t it be that you allow your child to decide if you want to take them to drag shows?Or not?
Following that logic, we should just get rid of child endangerment and negligence laws because it was a “parental choice” to put their kids in bad situations.
Navarro went on to complain that those opposed to kids at drag shows are just “cherry-picking” their outrage. She then made the ridiculous argument that the drag shows weren’t that bad because they don’t kill kids as guns do:
Here are some of the leading causes for child endangerment., of the death of their children. It’s guns. It is car accidents. It’s drownings. This isn’t drag queens. Never have I seen a child die from exposure to drag queens.
Sara Haines is a co-host of the show and hates pro-lifers. thinks Saudi Arabia is BFFs with Iran, made the buffoonish claim that states passing their own abortion laws weren’t abiding by federalism. “They brought it back to the states with the overturning of Roe V. Wade, but now you have states deciding you can’t go to another state, which just flies in the face of what they’re saying when they say a state should be in control,” she rambled.
Haines would likely have a change of heart about forcing a state to accept another state’s laws if she knew about conceal carry reciprocity.
Navarro in agreement with Haines said red states were communist dictatorships. “That’s the kind of stuff that happens in Cuba. That’s the kind of stuff that happens in North Korea where they don’t let you travel out of those countries,” She raged.
“I think the party’s gone crazy, frankly to tell you the truth,”She lied, and then she claimed that abortion was a “manufactured” and not a “real” issue.

SARA HAINES There were always exceptions for rape and incest. Now you have 13 states with a halt to nearly all abortions. Eight states have no exemptions for incest or rape.
That isn’t in keeping with their constituents. 73 per cent of Americans are for legal abortion, if the woman’s life and health were at stake. 69% believe legal abortion should be permitted if the pregnancy was the result of rape. 70% of Republicans believe that abortions can be legally legalized in certain cases, while others should not.
With the complete overturning Roe V. Wade, but now you have states deciding you can’t go to another state, which just flies in the face of what they’re saying when they say a state should be in control.

ANA NAVARRO interrupting: It’s that kind of stuff in Cuba. It’s exactly the same kind of thing they do in North Korea, where you are forbidden from leaving.
However, I believe the party — frankly speaking the truth, I think they’ve gone mad. They’ve made these manufactured culture wars, which I agree with. These aren’t real problems. Billy Porter, here speaking on Friday, stated that this issue is over; there has been a change in the area of LGBTQ rights.

Listen. Are you sure a 5-year-old girl should go to a drag show with her mom? But you know what? You can be for parental control when your child wears a mask to school. If your kid learns about slavery and the real history of the country then you should also be for parental decision on taking your child to drag shows.
