The View Cheers as Extremist Guest Declares Constitution Is ‘Trash’

Shortly after getting in touch with reality for a second and demanding greater domestic oil production earlier in the show on Friday, the cackling coven of ABC’s The ViewAs they cheered for the justice correspondent, their lunacy turned to madness The Nation and staunch racist Elie Mystal and his declaration that the Constitution is “kind of trash.”

Mystal wanted to see President Biden tie the knot during a conversation. January 6 to Russia’s invasion of UkraineWhat and How? all police were on a missionSunny Hostin, Sunny’s co-host, gushed over his book that attacked the Constitution and promoted racism.

The first chapter, “Canceling Trash People Is Not a Constitutional Crisis.” Chapter nine, “The Taking of Black Land,” was another favorite of mine, and “Reverse Racism Is Not a Thing.”

“I loved this book so very much … I just think it’s fantastic,” Hostin declared.

That was followed up with faux conservative co-host Ana Navarro asking, “Should the constitution be thrown out?”

“It’s certainly not sacred. Let’s start there. The Constitution is kind of trash,”Mystal replied.

Mystal argued the document that created the most prosperous country in human history was “trash” because “it was written by slavers and colonists and white people who were willing to make deals with slavers and colonists.”

“This document was without the consent of black and brown people in this country, and without the consent of women in this country,”He snorted. “The very least we can do is ignore what those slavers and colonists and misogynists thought, and interpret the Constitution in a way that makes sense for our modern world. That’s the starting line.”

He was constantly getting laughs and chuckles from his panel throughout all this.

Co-host Joy Behar chimed in to ask what he’d change about it and Mystal showed off why he didn’t have the intellectual brilliance of the Founding Fathers.

“I could rewrite parts of it in a tweet, right? Like, how about: popular election for the president, people vote, not land,”Mystal said this as he continued to spew off the radical leftist wishlist. “Term limits for Supreme Court justices, and how about no states’ rights when it comes to health care, elections, policing, and guns?”

Behar looked a little nervous and uneasy about the things he said. When she asked him about using the amendments process to get the changes he desired, Mystal apparently went on to the Supreme Court.

BEHAR: Aren’t amendments a good idea?

MYSTAL

BEHAR: Really fast now, I’ve got 20 seconds.

MYSTAL. The difficulty with the amendment process lies in the fact that there were 115 persons allowed to interpret the meaning of the amendments throughout American history. They were 108 white.

Actually, the Constitution allows amendments which free the slaves from slavery and give them the right vote as citizens. If the Constitution was indeed the source for “systemic racism,” then it wouldn’t allow for such important and needed changes.

SUNNY HOSTIN: I have to tell you, I loved this book so very much. The first chapter, “Canceling Trash People Is Not a Constitutional Crisis.” Chapter nine, “The Taking of Black Land,” was another favorite of mine,And “Reverse Racism Is Not a Thing.” I just think it’s fantastic.

ANA NAVARRO – So, let me say that I am in Florida and I’m on the ground zero of all this. It’s beyond me to think about bills which ban discussions about race or ethnicity. I don’t even want to mention gender identity at primary schools. Others will respond, “Okay, but are you advocating for the abolition of the constitution?” Is the constitution to be removed? How do we proceed? Do we make it live or sacred?

ELIE MYSTAL: It’s certainly not sacred. Let’s start there. The Constitution is a bunch of garbage. Let’s be adults again for a moment.

JOY BEHAR – What were you saying? It’s kind of what?

MYSTAL: This is kinda trash.

BEHAR: Trash?

MYSTAL: The Constitution was written by colonists, slavers, and whites who would make trades with colonists. The Constitution was not questioned by anyone who looked like them. They didn’t say, “Oh, Jim, come over here, what do you think about this O’ Constitution?” “Well, masta, I sure don’t like how you sell my children, but I got to say, this King George, he needs to be stopped. My grandpappy used to say, ‘ain’t no taxation without representation for masta.’ Like, that’s not what happened.

This document was created without consent by black and brown Americans in the country and with the permission of female citizens in the country. If that were the start, then I’m not surprised. We can ignore the thoughts of those colonists, slavers, misogynists, and misogynists and read the Constitution as it is. That’s the starting line.

BEHAR: Would you like to revise it?

MYSTAL, I would. You could tweet parts. You could try this: People vote for president.

BEHAR

MYSTAL: I’m saying if I was rewriting it. MYSTAL: If it was me rewriting. It’s possible to do this in one tweet. Term limits for Supreme Court justices, and how about no states’ rights when it comes to health care, elections, policing, and guns?

BEHAR: Right?

MYSTAL: That’s even better. This is just the best, and it’s possible to do this in a single tweet.

BEHAR: Aren’t amendments a good idea?

MYSTAL

BEHAR: Really fast now, I’ve got 20 seconds.

MYSTAL – The issue with the amendment process, however, is that in American history there have been only 115 individuals allowed to understand what the amendments are. They were 108 white.

BEHAR:  Okay.

MYSTAL – That is a problem.

BEHAR: You are an enticing guest.
