The VA GOP Sweep Proves Excellence and Issues Trump Status Quo and Race-Baiting – Opinion

So much for a “racist dog whistle.” Virginia just elected its first Black female in a statewide office. And wouldn’t you know it? It just so happens that she is a Republican and pro-2A.

You need to get off the couch.

An ex-Republican Del. Winsome Sears defeated Hala Ayala, a Democratic member of the Virginia House of Delegates in Tuesday’s race for Virginia’s lieutenant governor.

[…]

Sears, made history as the first Black Republican woman elected to the House in 2002 after she ousted the 20-year Democratic incumbent of Virginia’s 90th District, William Robinson. As a Jamaican-born immigrant she became the first naturalized US citizen. Her election to the Virginia statewide office is her first as a woman of color, a state where historically white men have dominated politics.

Is this the future of the world? In Virginia, the GOP now has the majority of the state.

Sears, a former Marine and vice-president of the Virginia State Board of Education, is a good example of a school board. If Glenn Youngkin pulls out a victory—and it increasingly looks like that may be the case—Sears will only add to the gravitas of Youngkin’s platform of pro-education, parental, and school choice.

These were the exact things that Sears supported, as well as more jobs and lower taxes.

What’s that sound? It’s the sound of another Democrat narrative dying a painful death. VA has not only elected the first Black female lieutenant governor, but it also elected Republican Jason Miyares. It has elected its first Black female Lieutenant Governor with Republican Jason Miyares’ victory. HispanicAttorney General.

Ibrahim X. Kendi and Robin DeAngelo hardest hit.

Business Insider calls races without hesitation, unlike legacy media outlets that wait for permission.

Miyares has served as a Republican member of Virginia’s House of Delegates, which encompasses part of Virginia Beach, since 2016. He was the first Cuban American elected to the General Assembly, and has often highlighted his Cuban background on the campaign trail by telling the story of his mother’s immigration to the US in 1965. He makes history as the state’s first Latino attorney general.

It’s all about the #GOPSoRacist hashtag. This is a slap in front of critical race theory as well as all the Democrat social equity, inclusive and justice measures. They are only dividing and pissing off people. These candidates won Virginia’s statewide elections by winning their respective races. Blacks and Hispanics don’t need to be pandered to, or paternalized, we just need to be left alone to pursue our opportunities for excellence; and, 2. People get tired of hearing party talking. People want answers to their real problems.

They want to feel free to enjoy their liberty. If the State House turns completely Red, that’s as good as guaranteed.
