The Twisted Morality of Those Who Obsess Over January 6th – Opinion

Most Americans consider today another day. They’ll get up, go to work, come home, play with their children, cook dinner, and go to bed. If they are worried, it’s almost certainly over the rising inflation that’s eating away at their savings. Is it possible to still make the purchases they had planned?

For a small minority of Americans who live along the Acella Corridor, but have no real connection to the outside world, today is their source of obsession. The normal people have been occupied over the past year with various pressing issues, some of which have been caused by the lack of leadership at the White House. However, the insiders of the bubble never stop talking about January 6. Every day is one of rememberance, guilt, and false accusations about the events.

Perhaps worse, some of the most immoral, cowardly people on the planet will spend today lecturing you on responsibility, morality, and saving “democracy.” Of course, “democracy” must be saved by allowing them to dramatically change the rules of voting from the federal level in order to ensure they win the next election. You can rest assured that manipulating the election in order to maintain their power will be for your good.

The President of the United States will lead the insufferable pretening.

There’s something expressly Orwellian about continuing to call something an insurrection when not a single person has been charged with the crime of insurrection and no evidence of any planning or control has emerged. Well, I suppose that’s not entirely true. Ray Epps is known to have instigated the breach. He was caught several times by video. Epps was never arrested, even though grandmas were only allowed to walk around the Rotunda. That is why you can only guess.

Regardless, I can’t think of a single person with the less moral authority to pontificate today than Joe Biden. President Biden is at the top of an egregious selective morality in DC politics. I’ve written on that phenomenon before, where someone like Liz Cheney can sit on her high horse while ignoring her role in getting hundreds of thousands of people killed in the Middle East.

The January 6th incident was not a coup. It was, at most, an act of political suicide committed by a handful of extremely stupid people. But the only victims were those protestors who were shot to death by police officers, whose lives were not at imminent risk. This is not akin or similar to 9/11, Pearl Harbor, Civil War and Pearl Harbor. It’s not even akin to the 2020 George Floyd riots.

While Democrats and their media allies would like to tell you there was no greater moral failure in the past year, my belief is that this assertion only highlights the horrible tunnel vision that exists within the Beltway. What makes me care about moral failings of randomly arrested protestors and those who have been punished more than the president who killed seven of his family members in an attempt to win a political victory? After he killed 13 American military personnel, he tried to get a political win by destroying a family with seven children.

It is one of these things that makes it worth obsessing. The other is January 6th, and I could give many more examples, including the fact that nearly everyone you’ll hear moralize about the Capitol Breach today also supports the killing of innocent children. Yet, the festivities, for lack of a better term, being held by Democrat politicians, CNN, and the rest aren’t actually about saving “democracy” or upholding some unique American moral standard. Instead, the pomp and circumstance are about trying to cynically weaponize an isolated incident in both its scope and support in order to keep power.

Their ploy isn’t going to work, though. This is what most Americans can see. The majority of Americans will see the absurdity of their problems and vote for January 6.
