Yesterday’s elections saw a strong red wave.
It didn’t just hit in Virginia, although that state was certainly the bellwether — with Republicans taking governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General. Seven seats were also changed in the House. The GOP currently controls 52 of 48.
This is the largest upset of the night. This was a Likely Democratic vote. Mugler barely raised any money. Mugler was among two Democrats who did better than Biden for 2019 when compared with his 2020 margin. Hurst also lost. pic.twitter.com/fdcKqmNDC5

We saw New Jersey — a very blue state — with a governor’s race that wasn’t supposed to be in question, that was very close because of how well the Republican, Jack Ciattarelli, has done. Some have now called it for Murphy, but we’ll have to see if it’s contested. Not only did that happen, but Edward Durr, a truck driver from New Jersey defeated Steve Sweeney (7-term) in the Senate.
Even though the wave hit an area that had been previously blue in Texas, it brought victory for a Republican in a district Joe Biden easily won last year.
But that wasn’t all. In the deeply blue — it’s hard to get bluer — New York City, there was also a sea change. Eric Adams, a law and order ex-police officer turned Democrat, will take over as the city’s mayor. Adams is expected to be a moderate Democrat. Republicans have at least 4 seats on the Brooklyn and Queens councils, and could win another 5.
Inna Vrinkov, an immigrant lawyer from Ukraine who was elected Republican Party winner by almost 30 votes, won the race as an open Trump supporter. Her opposition to Wuhan’s coronavirus mandates was also evident.
NY Post:
“I’m very excited. This election victory shows that the people are fed up with the progressive policies that have destroyed our city and district,” Vernikov told The Post last night.
“I hope to open the door for other Republicans and serve the district with honor and integrity.”
Joann Ariola was the Queens Republican leader. She is also a Howard Beach civic activists. Felica Singh lost to the Democratic progressive Felica Singh by 16,040 votes. That’s 67 percent. Singh won 7,443 or 31 percent. Singh had been backed in part by Rep. Alexandria OcasioCortez (D.NY). Singh was arrested in part because he supported defunding of the police.
Staten Island’s Republican David Carr beat Democrat Sal Albanese, in the 50th District. Queens was won by Vickie Paladino, who led with seven points in Queens’ 19th District points, and 99 percent of all votes in.
Here’s Paladino in 2017, just a resident, chastising Bill de Blasio on the street, and then in 2020 taking on leftist and BLM protesters.
Caution for graphic language
We have all been talking about Virginia, but we forget that VICKIE PARADNO is the first and foremost of her names and the destroyer Bill DeBlasio’s name, and she is currently on the NYC City Council.
It is truly amazing to think of the hell this woman is going to bring. pic.twitter.com/yS07wUmshD

FIGHT BACK! We need more Republican fighters such as Vickie Paladino at City Hall in order to defeat the Radical Left Democrats and Socialist Agenda. @VickieforNYC pic.twitter.com/LzgnyYVBUm

Now that’s a New Yorker!
Meanwhile a Democrat who is running to be the next council speaker is in a neck-and-neck fight just to survive with his Republican opponent in the 43rd district that includes Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights with about 21 votes separating the two.
In addition, Ray Tierney, Republican, defeated an incumbent Democrat, to win Suffolk District Attorney. Anne Donnelly, Republican, defeated an incumbent Democrat, to be elected Nassau district attorney. This is a fantastic move to increase law and order.
This wasn’t only a red wave but a comment on all those issues that we’ve been fighting in the trenches on, including mandates and against radical leftist politics.
We can’t get to 2022 soon enough with these results.
