The Beginning of the End

The night was almost 2,000 years old. However, the song does not say that it was a quiet night. A Bethlehem young lady gave birth in a stable to her baby. It was exactly how one would tell any story, even if it wasn’t taken seriously.

Shepherds were the first to testify, a group of men who proved so unreliable in court that they were inadmissible. The key eyewitnesses to the event were women who are also considered unreliable. It was not recorded that the father of the baby died. The Roman imperial forces eventually exterminated the entire baby’s earthly lineage. All his siblings and children, including the historical record records, were killed. James and Jude were his two brothers who would go on to write books which became part of the New Testament. Ironically, the same brothers who rejected their older brother died. They refused to even go to his execution in order to comfort their mom. They were leaders in the early Christian Church. Their brother, Yahweh, died declaring them to be.

Although you may have believed that Christians stole a Roman holiday to commemorate Christ’s birth from Christians, modern archeological evidence suggests it was Emperor Aurelian, who aligned Sol Invictus with the Romans on December 25th, to stop an irresistible atheist cult growing up within the empire. The faster Christianity grew, the more Christians were murdered. This was what made it stronger. Christians were thought to be atheists since they believed in a living God. The right-thinking religions of Rome understood that to be a god, one had to die. Christians were therefore classified as atheists. Atheists are enemies of humanity. It was impossible to stop them.

Christianity took Rome by storm and became the dominant religion. It spread all over the globe. The spread of Christianity in Asia took a long time. It took more than 1,000 years for Christianity’s spread from Africa and Europe to reach the Americas. But, another 1000 years was needed to penetrate Asia. China is home to more Christians than any other country, with approximately 200,000 of them quietly practicing their faith. This is an entirely unique religion that is founded in man and not in any place. Muslims call Mecca home. Jews possess Jerusalem. Badrinath belongs to Hindus. Christ is what the Christian believes. He is unbound from geography and flows to disrupt civilization. Communists were afraid of the Pope. Chinese Christians are fearful of quiet Christian.

If the entire world embraces Christianity, then the faith will die. The decline of Christian faith is due to the rejection of biblical sexual ethics, and inauthenticity of Christ’s resurrection. Based on the rate at which the Episcopalian population is declining, it appears that the United States has seen the death of the Episcopalian. There are other progressive mainline denominations not too far behind. Liberal theology has been a bridge to atheism. This allows those who are weak in faith to have a safe landing on the other side of the globe, as they prepare for Judgment Day. The faithful who remain tend to leave dying churches, and build up stronger Christian institutions. This is evident in the thriving Anglican Church of America with its refugee Episcopal Church. The new, conservative Methodists are fleeing progressive United Methodist Church bishops. God instead of trying to strengthen the church with persecution, He uses liberal theology as a pruning tool for the church of heresy.

Christianity is funny. It is constantly criticized by the secular world. While it is slowly dying in Western Europe, it becomes stronger and more widespread within the existing religious communities. It also spreads to other developing countries. It blends in with the religion traditions of these lands and their cultures. This creates a religion which is not Greek or Jewish but that is fully reflective of God through the diverse faith traditions and cultures of God’s people.

This promise is the foundation of the orthodoxy. The end is near. Light broke forth in Bethlehem. It is impossible to contain. It exists in the world and is shaping the world. Christ is coming back. It’s the promise of this season. All tears will be dried, and all things will become new. We wish you a Merry Christmas.
