The Absolute Arrogance of the ‘Grown-ups’ in the Room on COVID-19 – Opinion

COVID cases in the United States are increasing.

Omicron has spread like wildfire and although vaccines seem to be somewhat mitigating the problem, it is more resistant than other variants. Last week, when I shared my experience with COVID in advance of Christmas, I received many texts from people who were either in the same boat or had a friend in that boat.

This strain is making a lot more people sick. Although many are experiencing less severe symptoms among those who are vaccinated, this variant of the virus is still quite severe. It is unlikely that COVID-19 will be as dangerous today as it was two, one, and a half years ago.

Omicron is now proving to be a major player in the COVID-19 debate. While we know for quite some time that deaths and hospitalizations should be tracked, the ever-panicking media seems to have just decided this is the best way to go.

The loudest voices on mitigation efforts – from vaccines to vaccine passports to masking to school closures – are the self-proclaimed adults in the room. They are the Dr. Fauci’s. They’re the Randi Weingartens. They are Joe Bidens or Kamala Hayes. For months, they have told us that the South’s ignorant Republican voters and vaccine hesitancy deserved such high cases. Once the omicron wave began raging within the Democratic States, it was then that the talk points started to change.

These self-described adults were trying to protect their authority. Keep in mind Joe Biden’s threat to use his executive power to get Republican governors out of the way.

I’ll be honest.  Also, I plan on taking down elected officials in states and other entities that threaten you or these life-saving measures.  Local school officials try to protect children from a pandemic, while the governor gets in fight and threatens their wages or jobs.  Talk about bullying at schools.  If they’ll not help — if these governors won’t help us beat the pandemic, I’ll use my power as President to get them out of the way.

Biden admits defeat in this regard. Because there is no federal solution, he insists that the governors be charged. That won’t stop people like Fauci from continuing to spout off on incoherent policy on his continuous media tour.

Because as much as this is about control, it is also about the “experts” and the arrogance of the Authority. Because they are losing in this arena, it will be a blow for their bubble of power that has been built over the past two years. Even as the data continues to show that not only are they wrong now but that they’ve been wrong for a long time, they cannot give it up.

The couple is embarrassed but refuses to stop.

That’s why the teachers’ unions need puff pieces gaslighting readers on just how much they screwed up our kids’ education. That’s why Democratic politicians need to increase their enforcement of vaccine mandates despite omicron being the “great equalizer” on the spread among vaccinated and unvaccinated. That’s why they have to go after a man who said “Let’s go, Brandon” to the President rather than focus on just how wrong the COVID experts have been.

It was unsuccessful. The media repeatedly fought for the Left and their figures of authority in all this. They are as embarrassed over this fiasco as the experts, and they can’t just back down, either. Everyone involved in this mess, including the journalists, politicians, and so-called experts, is going to be embarrassed.

They will become more hostile as a result. They’ll push harder for things they don’t understand at this time. Because they don’t want to acknowledge that they were defeated by the virus, they will keep pushing for more lockdowns and shut downs as well as barbaric treatment of unvaccinated people.

Joe Biden acknowledged defeat to the virus. It has been one year since Biden said he would close it down. Lame duck presidency goes on apace. What about the people who are below him? They are the Democrats and experts that need to be correct and in charge of the situation. They won’t let up.
