People who have grown tired of being forced to cover their heads with cotton every time they travel will soon see some relief. Texas is suing the Biden administration for federal mask regulations that are being placed in planes and airports.
“The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) mandate was unlawfully issued. It was not authorized by Congress, and the CDC did not put the mandate up for notice and comment, which is ordinarily required for regulations like this,” according to a statement released by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, the Texas Public Policy Foundation, and Rep. Beth Van Duyne. “Yet a person’s failure to comply with the Administration’s mask mandate carries criminal penalties.”
Paxton issued a statement saying the White House’s “repeated disregard of the individual liberties of Texans is not only disrespectful to the U.S. Constitution, it is also troublesome that any president thinks they can act above the law while hardworking Americans standby.”
The statement continues, arguing that the president “cannot continue governing through executive edicts.”
Fox News explained:
Paxton has successfully sued the Biden administration numerous times over coronavirus mandates and was issued an injunction in December against Biden’s plan to mandate federal healthcare workers submit to coronavirus vaccinations.
While the mandates for masks should have expired late last year due to their expiration, President Joe Biden extended them even further using an Omicron version. If the White House creates another reason for the ineffective measure to remain in place, it will not be expired as of now.
In December 2013, the chief executives of Southwest Airlines, American Airlines and Southwest Airlines presented testimony to Congress. RedState’s Jennifer O’Connell wrote:
The technology appears to have done the job of decreasing the spread of COVID, without the necessity of using masks. Although their use is symbolic, they will continue to be used for a while.
News about Texas’ lawsuit is not welcome news for members of the COVID regime. Anthony Fauci, White House Chief Medical Advisor, previously stated that we shouldn’t even have conversations about removing mask mandates from airplanes.
“We want to make sure people keep their masks on,” he said. “I think the idea of taking masks off, in my mind, is really not something we should even be considering.”
Fauci also argued that airplane masks must be a permanent solution.
Nevertheless, one of the left’s favorite mask mandates is now in the crosshairs. The COVID regime will have to find more reasons not to keep masks on the streets. As more people realize that masks do not serve any purpose, they won’t be able create new ones. Democratic governors already have stopped imposing masks inside schools, while the school requirement is expected to disappear in the not too distant future.
Parents voted to dismiss three members of San Francisco’s city council for their inordinate concern with following a wakeism-inspiring agenda rather than helping children learn in schools. It was a solid run for the COVID system, however. The end is coming. At this point, it is not a matter of “if” but “when.”
