Teen Vogue Tells Young Girls Their Parents’ Beliefs Don’t Matter, Publishes Secretive Abortion Guide – Opinion

Teen wanting abortions now have access to information gathered just for them — from iconic adolescent mag Teen Vogue.

The outlet’s no stranger to directing young girls to clinics — in 2019, it ran the article “How to Get an Abortion if You’re a Teen.”

American culture once endorsed a message of “Listen to your parents;” that notion is long-gone:

It’s only logical that if teens are mature enough to become parents, they are mature enough to decide whether or not they want to give birth. Having access to abortion should be your right, regardless of your parents’ beliefs.

Teen Vogue at that time noted that 36 states allow abortion without parental consent.

It also delivered the idea that near-everyone’s doing it:

Everybody loves someone who’s had an abortion. You are included.

There have been many changes since 2019, however. You may be aware that the Supreme Court recently overturned Roe v. WadeSending activists on the streets with one control tower up.

Teen Vogue will be on the case. A July 7th piece by Teen Vogue explains what young people can think and do regarding abortion. It blames the court for “chaos” and makes clear that girls aren’t the only ones getting pregnant:

Friday, 26 June 2014: The Supreme Court declared invalid Roe v. WadeAs trigger bans started to take effect in some states and other states were hostile to abortion, it caused chaos throughout the country by ending the Constitutional right to have an abortion. For pregnant people in the seven current states that have near total abortion bans in effect, it’s a stressful and confusing situation.

It is designed to punish people who have front holes.

A system that makes it more difficult to access an abortion for pregnant teens adds stress and confusion.

Teen Vogue points out that “abortion is still legal in most states,” and it’s “legal…to travel to another state to have an abortion.”

It links to an interactive abortion map for young users. An updated list of sanctuary states is offered so they may evade their parents’ authority.

“Judicial bypass” is explained as the patriarchy is condemned:

You can bypass your parents’ consent by going directly to a judge for approval to have an abortion. Yes, it’s paternalistic and unfair that you literally have to get permission from someone else to choose what to do with your body, but it is an option for legal abortion.

Teen Vogue also gives advice on Medicaid and where to purchase “mediation abortion” online.

End result: This outlet is committed to the advancement of teenage abortion.

It’s remarkable how much society has changed. Not so long ago, publications aimed at young people wouldn’t have encouraged girls toward sex, let alone abortion.

Teen Vogue was a real pioneer.

Are we soon headed for a revival of once-called “traditional” morality? It doesn’t appear likely. America embraces all-new traditions.

However, the trend is not the same in every region of the country.
