Education is rapidly changing. The institution used to be a mix of academic disciplines like science and English. Nowadays, the institution seems to focus more on ideology.
The importance of gender identity and critical race theory is increasing. emphasizedIt is now more popular than ever before. Additionally, there’s a different sort of substantial change: Whereas study topics were once front and center, a trend finds classrooms increasingly becoming extensions of the teachers.
On social media, educators recount sharing their inner identities with “their” kids. The children are praised and accepted by them, which they love.
As class gets more owned by the person at the podium personal flourishes lighten the space.
Let’s take, for instance, videoTweeted by twitter account Libs of TikTok Sunday.
The clip’s caption reads, “Welcome to my high school classroom/nightclub.”
The room is viewed from the perspective of a man wearing a medical mask made out of sequined material. He captures a wide variety of #Pride flags.
In a flash, it’s all disco!

From Bryan’s bio:
I am a passionate and dedicated teacher and a proud “out” role model to my students in Richmond, B.C. I volunteer tirelessly with my school and school district to support safe inclusive opportunities for Richmond’s LGBTQ+ youth and allies. Although I was subject to bullying and homophobic harassment in the beginning of my career, it made me feel comfortable speaking out for my LGBTQ+ students. My goal was to become the role model of positive, queer identity that I had not seen in my high school. Through this, I’ve built strong, lasting, positive relationships with many of my students as well their families. As the SOGI (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity), teacher leader at my school, I am also a volunteer mentor for my fellow teachers through collaboration and support of professional development.

My name is Miss Gina Tonic and I’ve been entertaining people for many years in a colourful, campy, glittery way. … I enjoy combining bold sequin and rhinestone glamour with wild and vibrant splashes of colour that are sure to dazzle! … As a teacher, my proudest moments in drag are sharing Drag Queen Story Time readings. Story time readings for all ages are a big hit. The books that are chosen with LGBTQ+ themes, gender identity and equality, are loved by all.
It was a great honor to be a role model for LGBT students in high schools. And although the teacher’s classroom is in Canada, it doesn’t ring untrue for America’s public school apparatus.
taxonomic terms, education hasn’t simply adapted within the species; it’s as if the establishment has become a wholly different domain. This is what I have written about recently:
Perhaps we’ve reached a point where a new name is in order. America’s “schools” are no longer that, according to the traditional meaning of the word. These days, public education appears as…an ideological institution rather than a place where knowledge is on tap.
If the training centers were relieved of all academic burden, maybe new things could be built — things called “schools” — where young people could go to study subjects such as math and…literature.
Is such a split possible?
Future students may have some clubbing to do for now.
