Multiple states were hit with powerful tornadoes Friday night. Kentucky could have seen more than 100 deaths, and at least three additional states saw people killed.

Everyone should work together for the benefit of those who are affected. It is not a good idea to push your political agenda while you are ignoring the suffering of those who have died. But there were a boatload of ghouls claiming it was due to climate change, including the wife of Alexander Vindman. Joe Biden attempted to assert that climate change is making things more extreme. No evidence and no proof — just these horrible people trying to use tragedy to push their agenda. This was truly disgusting.
Some even claimed that it was proof of climate change, citing the lower frequency of December tornadoes.
Folks, I’m just going to say it sixty and seventy degree days and tornadoes in December are not normal. To address climate change, we must slow down global warming. We also need to reduce carbon emissions. This is possible.

A meteorologist pointed out that this was more ridiculous.
It’s past time to end the myth and narrative that tornadoes only happen in the spring. From January 1 through December 31, violent, potentially life-threatening tornadoes may occur. It can happen at any hour of the day or night. Nobody thinks it’ll happen to them, until it does.#Mayfield 🎥 by @bclemms pic.twitter.com/YfObQpNp8q

Others went further than blaming climate changes and suggested it was somehow the fault of Republicans. One even said that you wouldn’t have the tornadoes if the two Republican Kentucky senators hadn’t blocked climate change legislation, as though legislation could somehow stop tornadoes. Noel Scovell — a Hollywood writer, producer, and director who worked on shows including The Simpsons, Late Night with David Letterman, and Murphy Brown — had perhaps the worst possible take in the face of the tragedy, making a flip “Sorry Kentucky” comment and then attacking the two senators.

It got worse.

Or you’ll be punished if your beliefs are not liberal. This is particularly true after disasters.
Scovell became so overwhelmed with the responses she received to her tweets from people that she had to erase them. Others checked Scovell with the truth.
This is a scientist.
The 🌪️ in this part of the country are in no way related to global warming (most disasters in fact are not) as you claimed without evidence.

Maybe I’m just missing something here but exactly how does she expect legislation to stop tornadoes? Is there anything she thinks Sen. Mitch McConnell (Republican-Ky.) and Senator Rand Paul (Republican-Ky.) could have done in order to prevent tornadoes from happening? Does she know that tornadoes have existed forever and didn’t just come into existence after the creation of SUVs? It seems like everything has to fall into her narrative.
Scovell wasn’t the only one. She was also joined by former ESPN host Jemele Hill, who said Democrats should use this tragedy against Rand Paul and the GOP in the future or it was a “missed opportunity.”
We are experts in this field @RandPaulHe is an insufferable hypocrite. The people in Kentucky deserve the relief regardless of their buffoonish leadership, but if the Dems don’t use this against him and his party in the future, it is a missed opportunity. https://t.co/G61GrsNfFq

“We know @RandPaul is a heartless hypocrite,” Hill tweeted. “The people in Kentucky deserve the relief regardless of their buffoonish leadership, but if the Dems don’t use this against him and his party in the future, it is a missed opportunity.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell, a Democratic-CA Representative, seemed more concerned with the people than he was using the occasion to attack Paul.
Our Kentucky neighbor should be helped in every way possible. God be with them — they are hurting. Don’t forget that @RandPaul has voted against helping most Americans most times they’re in need. https://t.co/JkZQOZ4HuG

This is where they’re going at this point and it’s vile. If you’re thinking about using a tragedy to push your political narrative, you need to re-evaluate your soul.
