NHK reported that Shinzo Abe was the victim in the shooting incident.
Abe “collapsed” after being shot while giving a speech in Nara City, Japan, on Friday morning. According to NHK, local authorities are saying he is showing “no vital signs.”

Abe served two terms as Prime Minister, from 2006 to 2007, and 2012 to 2020. He resigned due to serious health issues.
