Sunday Shows Despicably Ignore Report That Clinton Spied on Trump

Recently released Durham Report court documents showed Saturday night that Michael Sussman, a former Hillary Clinton campaign lawyer paid a technology company to hack into Trump Tower’s computer servers and to tie Donald Trump to Russia. Even though this shocking report was made public, no Sunday talk-show host (Face The Nation, State of the Union, & This Week() reported on the story or made mention of it. NBC’s Meet the Press was preempted by Olympics coverage or they would’ve ignored the story as well. 

Instead of reporting on this story, Sunday’s shows continued to speculate about what Russian President Vladimir Putin would do regarding Ukraine. Both CBS & CNN had the opportunity to ask Biden Administration National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan about the Durham news but they both failed to ask him. 

Fox News’ MediaBuzzHowie Kurtz discussed the matter during an interview with Mollie Hummingway, Federalist Editor-in Chief. “Other news just breaking really in the last 24 hours, Mollie, special counsel John Durham, in an indictment says in court papers that former Clinton campaign lawyer Michael Sussman paid a tech company to infiltrate the servers first in Trump Tower, later in the White House he conveyed this to the FBI, and said he asked researchers, and this is a quote from the court papers, to mine internet delta, to establish an inference and narrative tying then candidate Trump to Russia.”

Kurtz announced before talking about former President Trump’s reaction: “Donald Trump says he was spied upon. The former President believes this crime is even worse than Watergate, and it should result in death. How big a story is this?” 

Hemmingway said that “it’s not just the President’s view that this is worse than Watergate.” She then reminded viewers that if this report is true:

These court filings show that we know a lot about Donald Trump’s campaign. But it goes further. They were spying on Trump Tower servers and White House servers while Trump was president. These information were manipulated by high ranking government officials, including the Department of Justice. Many people are implicated in this operation. Clinton’s campaign funded it, and some of these details were shared with DOJ, Department of Justice. 

She then tore into the media for not reporting on this scandal: “The media who spent years lying and claiming that Donald Trump had stolen the 2016 election by colluding with Russia. These lies have caused the nation so much more harm than Watergate. It’s not even mentioned here. Fox News and other responsible media outlets covered the story this weekend. It’s not even getting any coverage.”

He then reported this to FBI and stated that he had asked researchers to extract internet delta to make an inference linking Trump to Russia. Donald Trump claims he was spy upon. According to the ex-President, this crime is even worse than Watergate. It should lead to death. What is the significance of this story? 

MOLLIE HEMMINGWAY: Yeah it’s not just the President’s view that this is worse than Watergate. Watergate is a case in point. It was a very low-level intrusion into a Democratic Party Office and then an elaborate cover-up by the White House. These court filings show that the latest spying operations against Donald Trump went beyond the election. They also spied on Trump Tower servers while Trump was president. These information were manipulated by high ranking government officials, including the Department of Justice. Many people are implicated in this operation. Clinton’s campaign funded it, and some of these details were shared with DOJ and Department of Justice. 

Years of lying by the media, claiming Donald Trump was a Russian swindler. These lies have caused the nation so much more harm than Watergate. It is not mentioned anywhere, except that Fox News reported it on Saturday, along with a handful of other media outlets. The story isn’t getting coverage. It’s not even getting any coverage compared to the daily dose.
