Stossel Interviews Crowder About YouTube Suspension

John Stossel, a libertarian pundit and author, interviewed Steven Crowder from conservative talk shows about the recent YouTube ban.

A user who receives more than three strikes in a given time period will automatically be removed from the platform. Crowder is just one strike away of being suspended permanently from the platform. Crowder has been streaming his show via Rumble (a streaming video alternative).

Crowder mentioned that “…YouTube gave us the second channel strike last Friday. Crowder stated, “So we won’t be streaming YouTube the rest of this year.”

Crowder claimed that no information was provided about Crowder’s suspension.

“They didn’t provide details regarding the suspension, as they do every day,” he said. “It’s one of those things where we could say, we could guess…I mean, take your pick.”

However, YouTube said Crowder violated the platform’s policy against “hate speech,” but the platform did not provide a specific example of hate speech.

Jack Malon, YouTube spokesperson for hate speech said: “We issued a second strike against StevenCrowder channel because it violated our hate speech policies through repeated targeting of LGBTQ+ communities.” “Hate speech is not allowed on YouTube, and we remove content or issue other penalties–such as a strike–when a creator repeatedly targets, insults, and abuses a protected group based on certain attributes, such as sexual orientation or gender identity and expression, across multiple uploads.”

Stossel met Crowder to discuss the ban and other attacks by Big Tech.

“.@SCrowder has been suspended AGAIN from posting to YouTube,” Stossel tweeted. “What did he do that broke the rules? YouTube doesn’t have any information. That’s dumb.”

Crowder recently spoke out on cultural topics, transgenderism and election fraud. Stossel said that YouTube never disputed the accuracy of Crowder’s reports, the platform “just deleted them.”

Crowder emphasizedHe believes that his goal is to encourage free speech regardless of his disagreement with any statements.

“I think people should be able to say whatever they want,” Crowder added. “I shouldn’t have to justify every joke that I make.”
