Standoff Continues in Canada, While Police Attack Huge Freedom Convoy in Paris, Tear-gas Kids – Opinion

While there have been many protestors against vaccination mandates all over the globe, the Freedom Convoy truckers and protesters in Canada has reenergized efforts around the globe. After yesterday’s court injunction, the Freedom Convoy at Windsor’s Ambassador Bridge, Ontario voted to stay,

We’re watching what’s happening as the police continue to creep in slowly on the protesters at the Ambassador Bridge. Windsor’s police have made a fatal mistake in not stopping more people from entering the bridge. The crowd now numbers approximately 500.

It was just a handful of people at first when they began moving towards them. So now, they’re going to have to deal with more people. But so far, while they keep pushing the protesters back and closing the area, they haven’t made arrests.

The CBC’s Katerina Georgieva said The Deputy Chief Police asked her how long the process would take. His response was he didn’t know, that officers are continuing to try and negotiate with demonstrators — essentially, hoping for a peaceful resolution.

At the time this article was written, it had been estimated that there were 2,000.

Ottawaans are holding strong, with far more people on Saturday.

People around the globe are fighting the mandates.

Here’s the massive showing on Friday in Canberra, Australia.

Paris was also witness to a huge turnout on Saturday.

They had a brief blockage on the Champs-Élysées, the famous avenue in the French capital that runs between the Place de la Concorde in the east and the Place Charles de Gaulle in the west, where the Arc de Triomphe is located.

Paris’ police force is completely uncontrolled, and this is unlike Canada. They stopped 500 cars from going into central Paris and began to assault people who tried to go in.

Now they tear gass people and kick them.

People were being tear-gassed in cafes, striking presumably unvaccinated individuals as well. They didn’t care if they were injuring children by using tear gas.

More than 7,000 French officers deployed in the city. They also had armored personnel carrier and water cannon trucks. It was not exactly peaceful in response to peaceful protests.
