Sobering New Poll Reveals What Years of ‘Woke’ Anti-America Indoctrination Has Brought Us – Opinion

The right accuses the left of hateful America going back at least two decades. They support the burning of the American flag and loathing displays of patriotism. Their flagrant disregard of the Constitution, their utter contempt for it, their fervent fascination with socialism and their determination to persuade students, starting from very young age all the way to college, to believe that America was created on the principle of wanting to keep slavery.

The left has always shot back with some variation of “love the country but not what it does,” which may be true for traditional liberals – that is, those not predisposed to a “blame America first” mentality, those who can see the greatness of America despite her faults.

But it’s not true for the modern left – that is, those who consider themselves “progressives” and who are wholly immersed head to toe in an AOC/Colin Kaepernick-style of “woke” dogma where America sucks and the only thing that can be done about it is to (metaphorically) destroy it and all its institutions in order to “save it.”

New polling data Monday revealed that people would act in the same way as Ukraine if they were faced with the situation. This is a sobering finding.

In a Quinnipiac survey, people were asked “If you were in the same position as Ukrainians are now, do you think that you would stay and fight or leave the country?” The results showed that an overwhelming majority of Republicans and a comfortable majority of independents say they would stay and fight. What about Democrats? According to 52%, they plan on leaving the country.

The world is witnessing the horrors in Ukraine. Americans were asked what their thoughts were if put in that situation. Would they stay or fight? 55 percent of Americans say that they will fight and stay in Ukraine, while 38% say they’d leave. Republicans say 68 – 25 percent and independents say 57 – 36 percent they would stay and fight, while Democrats say 52 – 40 percent they would leave the country.

Even more information was revealed by the breakdown of total numbers. As the age range went up, more said they’d be willing to stay and fight. Between 18-24: 45% Between 35 and 49: 57%. The difference between 50 and 64 is 66%. After 65+, it dropped to 52%.

This is what years of anti-America indoctrination in the classroom and beyond has brought us, I’m sad to say. When you drill into people that there’s nothing about this country worth loving, and lie to them about “systemic racism” and the supposed prevalence of a “patriarchal system” in our society – and you do it consistently over a period of time, naturally these attitudes are going to take root and fester, especially in younger generations.

Fortunately and as I noted earlier, a growing number of Americans including those in the Hispanic community – a key voting bloc, and even some hardcore leftists out west are beginning to reject “wokeism” in all its many forms, seeing it for the toxic monstrosity that it is. In the Virginia red wave of November 2021, we saw it in full force.

Though that’s undoubtedly good news, the reality of it is that it’s going to take a long time to undo the damage Democrats have done. Fortunately, it CanIt must be done. If we are to put this country on solid ground, where large majority of all political parties believe that it is worth fighting for and staying.
