We’ve spoken about how far left the left has been going, especially over the past year with their essential endorsement of the BLM, and even the defense of Antifa. We saw things like the Biden White House seemingly have difficulty using the “c” word when it came to criticizing the Cuban government.
However, I must admit that my jaw dropped when I saw how far they’ve come and the willingness they show to embrace radicalism.
Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) attended the Connecticut People’s World Committee Amistad Awards. CPWC, a Communist Party affiliated political advocacy group is represented by the CPWC. On the occasion of the 102nd Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party USA, they presented awards to the three Amistad Award winners.
They invited guests to join the Communist Party.
“We invite you to join the Communist Party in this epic time as we make good trouble to uproot systemic racism, retool the war economy, tax the rich, address climate change, secure voting rights and create a new socialist system that puts people, peace and planet before profits,” emcee Ben McManus told the audience during the event.
Blumenthal was introduced as a “special guest” by Communist Party member Lisa Bergmann. He said he was “very excited and honored” to be with them and to “share this remarkable occasion” (the founding of the Communist Party in the country).

He said their agenda required them all to “work together” to get Democrats into office to make sure that they have an “equitable, just America.”
“I’m here to honor the great tradition of activism and standing up for individual workers that is represented by the three honorees here,” Blumenthal said.
The senator also touted President Biden’s Build Back Better plan in his brief remarks.
“There’s a lot to be working for in economic justice, in racial equity, in establishing a $15 minimum wage and holding corporations accountable for the basic treatment of the American people. We need to look at our entire tax system, beginning with Build Back Better,” he said.
Blumenthal also railed against the filibuster, which he said “has been misused by Republicans again and again and again.”
Then he thanked the communists for fighting for that and their “help and support over many, many years.” Blumenthal not only put himself in with the communists; he effectively placed the whole Senate in there with him when he said he was giving the honorees certificates of special recognition from the U.S. Senate. He did something particularly galling.
Given all of the suffering and death caused by communism, this is simply unconscionable. This is something that would be a shame. Blumenthal showed how far Democrats are willing to go in order to work with communists. It’s often seemed of late there isn’t much difference between Democrats and communists. Blumenthal’s presence in the area only helps to make that point even more.
