The network’s announcement read:

We shared the sad news about Pierre Zakrzewski’s death while reporting from Kyiv with Benjamin Hall. Another journalist was also killed in the same incident, we can confirm. Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova died alongside Pierre when incoming fire hit their vehicle. Her age was only 24. She is pictured here with Pierre, and Trey Yingst our correspondent. Sasha served as our consultant in Ukraine. Suzanne Scott, CEO of FOX News Media says that Sasha helped our teams to navigate the city and gather information. She also assisted us in speaking with sources. Working around the clock, she helped to share Ukraine’s story with the world and we are grateful to her for that. According to our producers and correspondents, she was not only hardworking but also funny, kind, brave and kind. This is the kind of person you must be to accomplish this type work. To show our respect to her family, we delayed notifying them of the death. Their deepest sympathy and appreciation for her efforts are extended to them. As they deal with the death of their little girl, we ask for your support and prayers. Only 24 years old, doing brave and courageous work.

The Russian Army offensive in Kyiv is continuing to escalate, and Brent Renaud, journalist, was among those who lost their lives.
