MSNBC The 11th HourStephanie Ruhle, the host of the show, spent Tuesday’s opening segment with the assembled panel discussing the aftermath of the FBI raid on the Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida. The panel discussion was worthy of a NewsBusters blog, but Ruhle’s conclusion blew away all else.
Ruhle, who was about to go to commercial, sanctimoniously declared that the FBI raid of Trump’s Florida house wasn’t a raid. We keep hearing that the FBI raid on Trump’s Florida home was a raid. Ruhle lamented that law enforcement does not use the term “raid” for its own sake.
The Justice Department requested and received a court-authorized warrant for search that granted them legal authority to enter Trump’s house. This was in accordance with Fourth Amendment probable cause requirements and permitted agents to seize items, as allowed by the judge and as described in the warrant,” Ruhle exclaimed.
Continuing her temper tantrum, Ruhle proclaimed that “words matter” and “calling a court-authorized search a raid suggests some sort of degree of aggression and lawlessness that is simply inconsistent with the facts & the law, and those are the facts.”
Her smug, factually incorrect lecture was ended by her saying that she wanted her to know “nobody was breaking down any doors.” Everyone was not answering the door wearing their undies, shook from bed. It was all a dream. That was law and order. It was law and order.
The argument that Trump’s residence was not raided and searched by the FBI is just semantics. Simple Google searches for the term “raid” reveal that the legal definition is “a surprise police visit to arrest suspected persons or seize illicit items.” While Trump wasn’t actually arrested, however, the FBI “seized illicit goods”.
Ruhle is a complete idiot every time she goes off-script. It is best for her to stick with the script and read from the teleprompter.
Ruhle freaking out over people calling a raid a raid was made possible by AT&T & Sleep Number. This link allows you to contact them about the propagandist they finance.

Eastern at 11:16:16STEPHANIE ROHLE: A quick note, but important for our audience. We hear a lot about people calling what the FBI did in Mar-a-Lago raid. For the sake of fact, the word raid is not used by law enforcement. What happened in reality? So what happened? The Justice Department obtained a court-authorized warrant for search that allowed them legal authority to enter Trump’s house.
This was in accordance with Fourth Amendment probable cause requirements and permitted agents to seize the items allowed by the judge and as described in the warrant. It is important to use words. And calling a court-authorized search a raid suggests some sort of degree of aggression and lawlessness that is simply inconsistent with the facts & the law, and those are the facts. Chuck, is that correct?

RUHLE: We want the audience to get it. No one was knocking on any doors. No one answered a door with their untucked underwear. It was all a dream. It was law, order. That’s exactly what has happened.
