RNC Has a New Tactic to Gain More Hispanic Voters – Opinion

The Republican National Committee (RNC) will soon air four Spanish-language advertisements highlighting the Democratic Party’s “failure to deliver for the Hispanic community.”

These ads will be shown in four different states – Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. The ads will appear on Independence Day weekend as Republicans look to keep the momentum going after Mayra Flores’ victory in Texas’ 34th Congressional District.

Senators Catherine Cortez Masto, Mark Kelly (D–AZ), Raphael Warnock and Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman are the Senators the RNC intends to target with its Spanish ads.

“The home of the Brave and the land of the free has always represented one thing: The American Dream … Today that dream is slipping out of reach.”

The RNC thinks that this is the best opportunity to appeal to the majority Hispanic voter in the face of rising inflation and other crises such as the south border crisis. According to the RNC, the ads “reveal how Democrats have left Hispanic Americans behind.”

“Under Biden and Democrat control, the American Dream is slipping away for many,” said RNC Communications Director Danielle Alvarez. “From skyrocketing prices to surging crime to the disastrous border crisis, Democrats have failed the Hispanic community. While Democrats focus on winning the ‘Latinx’ vote, Republicans are on the ground talking about the issues that matter and winning the Latino vote. This November, Hispanics will choose Republican leadership that shares our values of economic opportunity, freedom, and security.”

As mentioned earlier, Flores’ win in Texas’ 34th Congressional District was a monumental boost for the GOP. Yesli Vegas is also worth noting. Vega, who has law enforcement experience, defeated her primary challengers in Virginia’s 7th Congressional District. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is seeing more Hispanics running for Republican office. He has targeted Spanish-speaking voters in his ad campaign to re-elect him as Florida’s 7th Congressional District candidate.

In Suwanee (Georgia), the RNC opened a Hispanic Community Center. Its goal is to improve outreach among Hispanic voters.

It seems that the Republican National Committee is determined to win the majority Hispanic vote in the midterm elections. They also want those voters to stay involved through 2024. More than 30 RNC minority community centers have been opened in cities such as Las Vegas, San Antonio and Houston.

Republicans plan to hold their breath and secure the majority in both the Senate-House of Representatives as November approaches.
