Adele can easily be considered one of today’s most gifted and entertaining performers in today’s society, and she is consistently presented with all kinds of awards for her art. What’s more, Adele herself has gone through quite a personal journey, and at each turn, she’s managed to anger one group or another.
To put things into perspective, she lost weight.
But now she’s angered another group, the transgender community, for saying that she simply loves being a woman.
As reported by Page Six, she was at Tuesday’s Brit Awards when she had won Artist of the Year, a category that used to be separated by sex but has now been merged. Adele made a speech to receive her award.
“I understand why the name of this award has changed but I really love being a woman and being a female artist. I do!” she said to huge cheers.
“I’m really proud of us, I really, really am,” she said.
Loving being a woman is apparently not allowed according to the social dictators in the transgender activist community, and Adele saying she likes the sex she was born as is a grave sin worthy of the title of “TERF” or “Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist”:
“Please, no, ADELE can’t be a TERF,” a “staunch feminist” performer named Jacob told his thousands of Twitter followers.
…
Others complained that they had “lost a lot of respect for Adele” and would no longer “spend a cent on her music,” the Times of London noted.
Was Adele saying that she loathes transgender people? No. Did she say that women are women and men can’t be women? Nope. The accusation is that by Adele saying she likes being a woman, she’s implying all sorts of negative things about transgenderism.
This is a ridiculous take by ridiculous people who seem to be more concerned about finding an excuse to feel victimized than living in the real world and taking people’s words as they are.
It’s a good reminder that transgender activists, and the social justice community at large, are professional victims and need to find excuses to be victims so they can continue their grift. They will throw anyone and everyone under the bus if it means they can have one more reason to proclaim they’re looked down on by society and thus consistently in danger. They don’t want to create understanding or bridge the gaps. All they need is total and complete obedience from everyone, narratives and personal.
Unfortunately for the transgender activist community, telling people they can’t be happy with who they are is effectively guaranteeing the eventual fall of their cause, because despite whatever trend society forces on people, eventually acceptance of who one is is the only way to be happy with yourself.
