You want to make funny memes even more fun. It’s done by fact-checking it with a news agency. The “Reuters Fact Check” unit spotted a YouTube clip from September 12, 2021 and seized it on July 31.
Biden appeared to have mysteriously left his speech by leaving behind his wife for just a couple of seconds. They added an ice cream truck passing by the scene to help “explain” Biden’s disappearance. It’s possible that Reuters was alarmed by the 384,000 views. It’s hilarious.
The fact that Reuters did a fact-check on Sunday proved it was even more hilarious. It revealed that Joe Biden had not been following an ice cream truck during his wife’s comments.
It started with the title, which urgently advised readers that Fact Check Video does not show Biden distracted from music by an ice cream truck.
A video shared by social media shows Joe Biden, the U.S. president, walking off during an address by Jill Biden. Biden claimed that he was distracted from an ice cream truck. However, the video has been digitally edited so that it includes music typically played by ice cream trucks.
…The original video was posted on C-SPAN (here) on Sept. 10, 2021 with the caption: “President Biden and first lady Jill Biden spoke at Washington, D.C.’s Brookland Middle School about the coronavirus pandemic and keeping children safe. The president urged parents to get their children vaccinated if they were eligible.”
Biden is seen leaving the frame at the 01:35 mark and then returning to the scene a few seconds later. However, there are no ice cream trucks or music in the video.
VERDICT
Altered. This video has been digitally edited to include ice cream truck music as U.S. President Joe Biden walked away momentarily during first lady Jill Biden’s speech.
Wow! Amazing! The Reuters fact check made it even more viral, and people laughed at its absurdity. Inadvertently, they increased the humor.
Hey yo Reuters, come fact-check this 😂😂😂 https://t.co/dcdrG0bGqj

RedState’s Bonchie made the best points about how Reuters makes mockery out of Biden. But they aren’t fact-checking Biden’s tweets (or statements).
Reuters will not fact-check any Biden statements, but they have the time and resources to inform you that this ice cream truck isn’t true. pic.twitter.com/1HzcIj6j1W

The Reuters Fact Check pages from the last month show a bunch of Biden defensive checks and zero checks against Biden or anyone on his staff. Before the July 31 Ice Cream Event, there were:
— July 29: The Atlantic did not not publish a headline on ‘the quiet courage’ of Biden’s economy
— July 28: Biden did not sign a “Drag Queen Initiative” that would outlaw “publicly criticizing pedophiles.”
— July 25: Image purporting to show Trump statement mocking Biden’s COVID-19 diagnosis is fabricated
— July 14: Derogatory “F— Joe Biden” chanting digitally added to video of Biden at news conference.
— July 11: The Atlantic never published a piece titled “Leave Hunter Alone.”
July 11, 2007: Sylvester Stallone did not wear a T-shirt from “FU 46”.
July 8, 2009: Biden refused to award a Medal of Honor retroactively to Vietnam War veterans at the White House.
“Fact checkers” can do an accurate job of calling out fakes, and yet still look comically biased in their selection of what needs checking.
