Report Adam Schiff Was Involved – Opinion

As we reported earlier, a group of nine people who were with the “Late Show With Stephen Colbert” was arrested after they allegedly illegally entered a U.S. House of Representatives Office Building — the Longworth Building. They had tried to get into the Jan. 6 Committee hearings at the Capitol but were tossed out because they didn’t have press ID. But then, they were caught later after the Longworth building was closed to the public, taking pictures and video around the offices of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), and banging on people’s office doors.

A senior source in the U.S House of Representatives told Fox News that nine individuals associated with Stephen Colbert’s show were arrested: Jake Plunkett, Allison Martinez, Tyrone Dean, Stephen Romond, Nicoletta Green, Brendan Hurley, Robert Smigel, Josh Comers, David Feldman.

They were arrested and accused of illegal entry at the House Office Buildings after-hours.

U.S. Capitol Police said they were called to a “disturbance.”

“On June 16, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) received a call for a disturbance in the Longworth House Office Building. Officers responded to the call and found seven unaccompanied individuals in a sixth-floor corridor. The building was closed to visitors, and these individuals were determined to be a part of a group that had been directed by the USCP to leave the building earlier in the day,” the statement says. “They were charged with Unlawful Entry. This is an active criminal investigation, and may result in additional criminal charges after consultation with the U.S. Attorney.”

Jesse Watters points out that these weren’t flunkies but producers, writers and associate producers. Watters claims that a source in Congress told them it was Rep. Adam Schiff, D-CA (one the Jan.6 Committee members), who let them in along with Rep. Jake Auchincloss, D-MA).

Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL), the ranking member of the House Administration Committee, said they were let in by someone from Schiff’s office.

According to Fox’s Chad Pergram in a thread on Twitter,Interviews had been conducted with several members of Congress that they’d received earlier in the day. These included Schiff and Auchincloss. At around 4:45 p.m., an assistant to Auchincloss let them into the building. They then wandered through the corridors unattended for several hours, rather than leaving. They were arrested, ultimately, near Boebert’s office

This happened Thursday (last night)–why are we only hearing about it now? They are going to keep them alone for at least a year like Jan.6 folks.

It is ironic, then that Democrats targeted Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R. GA) because he had guests visiting the building to take pictures of the art. The police did not arrest any of the people in that manner and said they were innocent. Also, this is the Watergate anniversary. Another irony in ironies.

Adam Schiff: How will he justify allowing these people to enter, considering their conduct?
