Reid & Guest Blame Trump Immigration Policy for Deaths of Texas Migrants

On Wednesday night’s ReidOutJoy Reid (MSNBC host) and Maria Hinojosa, guest on MSNBC used the 53 migrants who died in hot tractor-trailers as excuses to criticize former President Donald Trump’s immigration policies. Never one to make sense, Reid claimed that because current immigration laws make it difficult to immigrate, the group of migrants were somehow allowed to suffocate. This is false since it doesn’t make sense, given that the Biden Administration hasn’t secured the border.

It is extremely tragic. It feels like this is the kind of tragedy that happens when people make it so difficult to migrate that even their children will be able to get into an un-airconditioned truck.Reid lamented, but refused to give any explanation as to why they were unable to cross the border to America. They wouldn’t be able to cross border if they were actually that difficult.

Futuro Media’s founder, Hinojosa claimed falsely that these were the deaths of Futuro Media. It is a result of the U.S./Mexico police state. In Texas, most people don’t realise that it is not possible to just hop in a car with the intention of driving through Texas. There are many checkpoints and the border patrol is present everywhere.

Reid agreed and moaned about it. “The governor of Texas wants to use it as political fodder. He blames President Biden.” We still have Donald Trump’s remain-in Mexico policies.

“The Supreme Court currently decides whether or not Trump’s administration must continue to function based on Trump’s rules.”Reid wept and added that What can we do if the US President can’t change the rules that govern migration at the border?

This whole section was absurd. This tragedy would not have happened if the border had been secured as Trump and other conservatives advocated for many years.

JOY REID : Now let’s get to the point. It’s incredibly sad. These are the kind of tragic events that can occur when people make it so difficult to migrate that even their children will be able to get into an un-airconditioned truck.

(…)

MARIA HINOJOSA : These stories are not common anymore. These are the kinds of deaths. In fact, this is a consequence of the U.S./Mexico police state. It’s not possible to drive through Texas with a car. There are many checkpoints and the border patrol is present everywhere.

These are the things people will turn to. It is terrible. This is a horrible and horrible way to die. And it feels even more difficult in a moment when our country is just — everybody’s reeling. This is part of the country, it seems.

REID: Yeah. Texas in particular, has experienced more horror and death than most other states. However, this multi-national tragedy is unfolding. Many people were killed in that truck. Texas governor Rick Perry is trying to blame President Biden for using it for political fodder. We still have Donald Trump’s remain-in Mexico policies.

In this moment’s litigation, the Supreme Court considers whether or not Trump’s rule-based operation of the Biden government must be continued. What can we do if the United States President can’t change the rules that govern the way migration is controlled at the border?

HINOJOSA: Right. Trump’s entire remain-in Mexico policy was created. So, you’re right, the problem is that the Biden administration has not been able to rescind it and now may be forced because of this very strange Supreme Court that we have in power in the United States of America.
