Senator Rand Paul (R.KY), took Dr. Anthony Fauci back to the cleaning station today.
Paul first chastised Fauci for claiming that he was “science.” This is something I’ve covered before when he said it in June and November. Fauci’s arrogance and lack of professionalism is evident. Then, Fauci explained the reason why this was so horrible by citing an example of Fauci trying to silence opposition.
According to Paul, Fauci had conspired with Dr. Francis Collins to do a “quick and devastating takedown” of prominent epidemiologists from Harvard, Stanford, and Oxford by smearing them as “fringe.”
“Do you really think it’s appropriate to use your $420,000 salary to attack scientists who disagree with you?” Paul said.

Fauci is unable to think of anything other than to tremble and whine over Rand Paul’s “Fire Fauci,” campaign.
This is one of the most amazing things you can see today. LOL! pic.twitter.com/zhWHmrKAwb

Fauci simply states that Paul is wrong, but never explains why. Paul continues that this wasn’t the only time that Fauci had done this kind of thing. When Paul then asks about the scientists’ initial reaction that it may have looked suspiciously like it could have come from a lab, that’s when Fauci goes into full-on deflect mode, claiming that Paul is personally attacking him. No, finding out the truth is not a “personal attack,” it’s a vitally important thing that not enough people are taking up, particularly with the bombshell information that was dropped today about the lab question.
Paul continued to scream at Trump, saying that Joe Biden had caused more deaths than President Donald Trump. “You are the one responsible,” Paul said.
Fauci kept trying to deflect saying that criticism of him has resulted in “threats upon my life” all because “people are lying about me.” He cited a case where he claimed a man was arrested with a gun allegedly on his way to D.C. to “kill Dr. Fauci.” He then claimed that Paul was using attacks on him for political gain because he had “Fire Fauci” and a donation link somewhere on his website.
Now, that’s a unique defense: because there are crazy people out there, you can’t ask Fauci questions that he should answer and not deflect. Rand Paul has faced multiple attacks for his political position, and he isn’t arguing that he should never be questioned.
It was funny because Fauci then was advertising Paul’s website and the call to fire him.
Paul finished Fauci yet again, saying that he was the one making political attacks on his colleagues to silence dissent, “You won’t defend it, you won’t argue it, you just simply turn around the attack.”
To save Fauci, the Democratic Chair of the Committee, Senator Patty Murray (D–WA), was forced to intervene.
Paul was the one who had to say it all, and he finished Fauci.

That is just priceless. We now have a meme that will last forever. Thanks, Dr. Fauci.
