PolitiFact Tags Stephen Miller as ‘FALSE’ for Mocking Kamala Harris Word Salad in Europe

The badly disguised Democrats at PolitiFact haven’t fact-checked Vice President Kamala Harris on anything in eight months, but they demonstrated their Princess-and-the-Pea level of sensitivity of defensiveness by throwing a “False” flag at former Trump adviser Stephen Miller on Monday for mocking Harris on Fox’s Sunday Morning Futures

Harris behaved strangely when she answered questions at press conferences during her Europe tour. With Polish President Andrzej Duda, they were asked two questions in tandem, and she tried to defer answering first, then bizarrely laughed (over a question about Ukrainian refugees). Romanian President Klaus Iohannis was also asked similar questions in tandem. She tried to delay answering the first question (about gas prices), but then bizarrely laughed.

Fox host Maria Baritoromo cued up a clip: “Here’s Kamala Harris with really no answers when asked about gasoline prices. You can see her response. Fact check? Fact check?

MILLER: That was an incredible moment. When she was asked about the inflation and gasoline prices in America, she tried to deferring to President Duda of Poland. This is truly shocking to see that the vice president for the United States lacks so much confidence on domestic matters that she would like the Polish president to talk about our inflation and gas prices. Then she begins to stammer about the Black Sea, and then read her notes. It is not an example of a healthy person. America is totally uncontrollable, according to Vice President Harris and President Biden.

PolitiFact’s Jeff Cercone remarked:

Our ruling

Miller stated that Kamala Harris, Vice President of the Polish government, tried to defer the question to him about the high prices for gas in America.

He’s wrong on both counts. Harris, speaking at the news conference together with the Romanian president was not the Polish president. And the video clip played before Miller’s criticism edited out the first part of the question to Iohannis. Harris didn’t want Harris to respond about U.S. oil prices. The leaders stopped to decide who would answer first.

This claim is rated False by us.

First, it’s true that Miller cited the wrong European president, but it’s obvious from the video that Harris tried to defer to the Romanian leader. You go first!

Selection bias, as always, is what really matters. Why is this small flub in a video clip worth a fact check? PolitiFact seldom checks CNN or MSNBC programs (because all of them are liberals). One guest said to Rachel Maddow that Hitler didn’t murder ethnic Germans. This was correct by Auschwitz Memorial, but PolitiFact couldn’t find the viral clip.

It seems obvious that PolitiFact is trying to whack Fox News as a misinformation channel and control the damage of these strange Harris performances in front of the press. This Harris flub, implying that Ukraine is part of NATO alliance, was also not questioned by PolitiFact.

Harris, Vice President of the United States, has just four fact check over fourteen months. These are two “Mostly Trues”, one “Mostly False”, as well one “False.” However, there are nine fact checks More Harris. None of Harris’ statements were true, “Mostly True”, nor “Half True.” Five of them are rated as “Pants on Fire.” Harris is not rated “Pants on Fire” like the vast majority of Democrats.
