Arizona has a political divide, so there must be something that can unite Americans, no matter their beliefs. Independence Day is one example. Unfortunately, Pima County Democratic Party failed to get this memo.
The local party is under scrutiny for posting their support of a Tuscon Woman’s March “F*ck The Fourth” event next Monday night.
On their official Twitter page, the local party shared an infographic for the rally, asking people to “bring comfortable shoes, water, lawn chairs, posters, and your anger.”
“Let’s mourn with F*ck the Fourth,” the post states.

It had been posted for five hours on Friday morning. However, it was taken down at 2:25 PM Arizona time.
Users of social media did not hesitate to criticize the event.
“Democrats please. I’m begging you. Make this your message,” Arizona State House candidate Trey Terry tweeted.

“What the heck is this? It’s not a nice look. @PimaDems,” Laurie Roberts, a columnist at The Arizona Republic, tweeted. The economy is the main reason Democrats have difficulty with their optics in the coming midterm elections. However, this tweet might provide another reason for voters to be concerned.
Is this really what you want? It’s not a nice look. @PimaDems. https://t.co/oTyrzAhbFn

“Winning message,” conservative commentator Stephen Miller tweeted.

Although the far-left might want to raise a middle finger to the celebration of America’s founding, it’s safe to say that there are still plenty of Democrats that observe Independence Day. Arizona is a competitive state, so the party and state should try to ensure that this message does not reach too many people.
This is how America moves forward, and the Pima County Democratic Party needs to apologize. It’s one thing if somebody chooses not to celebrate Independence Day; however, it’s extremely divisive when an official local party decides to open despise the celebration of America’s founding.
Update: Just as the article was being published, the Party released the following statement:
Thread: The 1/3 PCDP published a graphic promoting a women’s march, which we think was poor taste. The graphic was provided by event organizer. We wanted to share this event so we did. We will learn from our mistakes.
