Tuesday’s House vote approved $40 billion of weapons, other assistance and support for Ukraine. This was $7 billion more than Joe Biden requested and was in addition to the $13.6 billion passed last month. Joe Biden stated that they were in dire need of more money because everything was already spent.
Most Republicans supported the $40 billion bill. However, 57 Republicans voted no. It must still pass the Senate.
Congress already approved a bill giving Joe Biden permission to send virtually any item from our stockpiles over to Ukraine. Officials have raised concerns about the state of our stockpiles as a result. There are also big questions about whether they are ensuring the weapons are getting to where they’re supposed to go. They are getting more or they would be toast to the Ukrainians. What about the spreadsheet that shows how much money has been allocated from other countries? And who is responsible for tracking where the money goes? How do we know some of it isn’t going out the back door? The answers given by people like Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin were not reassuring — his answer was we basically have to trust the Ukrainians.
Instead of receiving serious consideration and questions from Democrats regarding these critical concerns, we received this statement from Nancy Pelosi (D–CA), the House Speaker: We should accept all that Nancy Pelosi has said. She quotes Scripture and states we must feed the hungry.
Pelosi: [what $40 billion to Ukraine]is about. Just think about “When I was hungry, You fed me!” from Matthew’s Gospel. pic.twitter.com/J1NukSFVuo

I can’t believe she has the gall to say this. No, wait. It’s Nancy Pelosi. She is the most amazing person I know.
It is about charitable actions, and not Congressional vultures justifying taking our money.
Americans can’t find formula to feed their babies, inflation is at a 40-year high, gas prices just hit a record average — the highest ever — and Nancy Pelosi doesn’t even care about the homeless who are sprawled across the streets of San Francisco. And she’s quoting scripture at us? Also, most of this has nothing at all to do with feeding the hungry so it’s just straight-up nonsense.
Pelosi is pulling out Christian scripture in a cynical attempt to appeal to Americans’ natural generosity. Pelosi says nothing about leftists harassing Catholics or Catholic churches in order to promote abortion and the murder of babies. Her scripture citing is incredibly hollow.
This tactic is often used by leftists to attack Christians and others for being Christian.

This one sounds like it’s right over the target:
“For I was a defense contractor, and you gave me even more taxpayer money.”

How about Americans trying to survive with rising food costs by between 30-40% and 200+%? It is hard to imagine giving $40 more bil to another nation in such a situation. It does remind me of Timothy 5 8🤔

Timothy 5:8, the King James Version, says: “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” Where is the providing for your own house? Not to mention Pelosi’s Constitutional obligation — which is to the United States of America?
