Parents of the Oxford High School Shooter Arrested Near the Canadian Border – Opinion

James and Jennifer Crumbley (parents of Oxford High School Shooter Ethan Crumbley) were taken into custody last night. They had been hiding out in Detroit at the Canadian border.

Four counts of involuntary murder were filed by the parents on Friday, alleging that the parent was responsible for the death of four of their children in the shooting.

Officials also suggested that the individual who helped the victims hide inside the building could face criminal charges.

Prosecutors claim the parents bought the gun their son used to kill four as a Christmas present for him but failed to secure it, despite knowing their son had issues and had written a troubling note saying “Thoughts won’t stop, help me.”

The parents’ lawyers claim that they were running from the police and trying to surrender.

“The Crumbleys left town on the night of the tragic shooting for their own safety. They plan to return to the scene to stand trial. They are not fleeing from law enforcement despite recent comments in media reports,” attorneys Shannon Smith and Mariell Lehman told Fox News.

According to police, they did not know.
