On CNN, David Frum Goes BIBLICAL In Urging Everyone To Fight Back Against Trump

You really have to listen to David Frum to understand just how melodramatic the Never Trumper became on CNN’sNeue Day This morning, he appealed to Americans for help in fighting the ex-president.

At the 1:15 point in the clip below, his voice filled with emotion, Frum actually cited the prophet Isaiah from the passage (Chapter 6)  in which the Lord asks whom shall I send? Frum responds to the Lord’s question, “Who shall I send?”

FRUM: I believe, that I will turn the question back to those who are looking at you right now.

One famous Bible passage is the one where G-d asked, Who will come for us? And the prophet Isaiah must have said, Send me.

Many people have thought that somebody out there will protect the American democracy.Mueller may be involved. It could be someone else. Then I thought about it. [inaudible], it’s you! Only you. It’s you, your friends and your neighbours.

Frum’s message was to say that Americans should not wait for a savior or a miracle to save American democracy from Trump and his followers. Instead, they must fight back.

There is one thing certain about this: Frum’s friends from the liberal media can help him defeat the Republicans.

What is the matter with Republican-haters’ penchant to portray Republicans in wheelchairs as people who are hurt? The Democrat ad that featured Paul Ryan pushing granny from a cliff was a classic example of this.

Jon Meacham was the next to be honored with one of MRC’s most dubious awards in 2005. Commenting on George W. Bush’s criticism of Roosevelt’s Yalta deal with Stalin on post-war Europe, Meacham said: “It’s like he [President Bush]His broomstick was stuck in his [FDR’s]Mobility scooter wheels

Today, Frum compared Steve Bannon’s analogy to someone “knocking the person in a wheelchair.”

Liberals, such violent fantasies

Never Trumper David Frum quoting the prophet Isaiah in urging people to fight back against Trump was sponsored in part by Intel, Dell, Johnson & Johnson, maker of Listerine, Liberty Mutual, Facebook, and Discover.

BRIANNA KEILAR – David Frum (staff writer) is joining us AtlanticFormer speech writer for George W. Bush. His latest op-ed is called “Steve Bannon Does Exactly What He Says He Is.”

. . .

We watched Steve Bannon go to court this week and he looked genuinely happy about it. This is precisely what Steve Bannon desires, and you wrote this op-ed.

. . .

DAVID FRUMM: That is, that is. This character Who’s the rock star in the video? Turning over the tables, kick, kick the pianist. Getting the wheelchair over to the other sideAnd saying, “What are you going do about it?” It was all clear to me, and I will do it again. Bannon made this clear, which is why the article was written. He stated that he doesn’t believe in any of these. I don’t respect any rules, I don’t respect any process. I can be accused of violating any process. I. Don’t. Care.

. . .

JOHN BERMAN : What is the effect of that? David Because Your opinion is my agreement. Steve Bannon isn’t going to care whether he gets convicted of contempt or Congress. He could end up being in jail for one month. This would, either politically or as entertainment value, be perhaps the most important thing that has ever happened to him. Why is that important? What can or should we do about it? .

FRUM: I believe, that I will turn the question back to those who are looking at you right now.

One famous Bible passage is the one where G-d demanded, Who will come for us? And the prophet Isaiah must have said, Send me.

I believe many of us thought that somebody out there would do the job and protect the American democracy.Mueller may be involved. It could be someone else. Then I thought about it. [inaudible], it’s you! Only you. It’s you, your friends and your neighbours.

These aren’t the only people involved in clandestine operations. It is an enormous group operating openly, with the support of former President Donald Trump, who will be the next Republican nominee. This may include a quarter or third of the country. This is a huge political problem that threatens the stability and security of American democracy. The legal system is unable to deal with the threat that’s posed by not just a handful of lawbreakers, but 25% or 33% of the nation.

KEILAR : Yes, they do. As you have described in the article, it seems that they are very focused on a single goal. Is there a counter-measure? That was left open-ended. We’ll let people know how they answer it. David Frum, thank you so much.
