The Kyle Rittenhouse trial verdict is causing a lot of anxiety for the left. From the moment the “not guilty” verdict was handed down, they have been caterwauling about how this proves white supremacy dominates the entire country.
One of the questions that arose during the trial, thanks to CNN’s legal analyst Jeffrey Toobin, was related to how this situation would have played out if Kyle Rittenhouse was black. It is implied that Rittenhouse would have been subject to harsher treatment. Twitter users who are hard-leftists also claimed this, saying that Rittenhouse’s black skin would have prevented him from being acquitted.
Is this really true?
This argument was repeated by others. Andrew Coffee IV was a black man who had fired his gun at SWAT members in self defense. He was later found not guilty on the murder and attempted murder charges. This verdict is significant because it involved a shooting incident involving a police officer.
Da Baby was also involved in the shooting death at North Carolina Walmart. He was originally arrested but the charges were dropped once it was proven that he acted only in self-defense.
It is worth considering how Rittenhouse would have reacted if Rittenhouse had been an African American living in the same circumstances. It is not too hard to ascertain, given the predictability of the hard left and the state of America’s political discourse.
It is clear that Rittenhouse’s race would have had the exact same effect on the Democratic politicians and activist media. He would not be able to change his race. They would have branded him a black-white supremacist. CNN’s Don Lemon would be ranting about how even young black males can fall into white supremacy and commit dreadful acts against white progressives trying to attack them.
It New York Times would publish op-eds with headlines like “How Young Men of Color Can Be Seduced by White Supremacist Ideology.”
Black progressive tap dancers like MSNBC’s Joy Reid would probably label him a black face of white supremacist terror. Rashad Robinson (head of the NAACP) would warn of the problem that black men are being radicalized on Facebook by white supremacist material.
Even if he were black, the hard left would continue to call for his arrest. They’d tell the same lies about Rittenhouse even though he was black. They might actually act MoreBecause he is a black man and would kill white people, who pretend to care about black communities, I am aggressively against him
But let’s take this even further.
Imagine Rittenhouse was a black member of Black Lives Matter and he killed MAGA-hat-wearing conservatives? I think we know exactly what would happen, don’t we?
He would be placed on a platform by the hard-left and they’d sing his praises to him from the roofs. They’d build more statues for Kyle Rittenhouse that George Floyd. His legal fund to win the case would cost him millions. CNN’s Don Lemon would gush about how “brave” he is.
This would occur even if Rittenhouse were white and continued to take the same actions. As they heaped praise on Rittenhouse, the black progressive elites were likely to be teary-eyed.
Dear reader, this is the way that progressive left works. These are their true identities.
They don’t care about the truth. They are not concerned about the facts of the case. They only care about how the case can be used to advance their political agenda. They would react the exact same way regardless of Rittenhouse’s skin color — because this is about politics, not principles.
