Nick Sandmann Takes Another Victory Lap on the Media With NBC Settlement – Opinion

We’ve seen some good decisions for the truth recently, in cases where the liberal media went after people because of politics.

The verdict in Kyle Rittenhouse’s murder trial was one of the most important. Rittenhouse should never have been charged with murder, and the media’s efforts to do him in were just shameful.

I’d call them malpractice, but malpractice is often thought of as a mistake. The media’s attack on Rittenhouse was a deliberate effort to paint him as something he wasn’t — a murderous white supremacist — to serve their political needs. However, the jury found the necessary evidence to reach a correct verdict and pronounced Rittenhouse innocent on all the charges.

But if there’s anyone who has a boatload of potential legal actions he could take against the media, it’s Rittenhouse. Rittenhouse could also sue Joe Biden for falsely portraying him as white supremacists in campaign ads and tweets.

There is someone who has some idea of what Rittenhouse has been going through — that’s Nick Sandmann, the Covington High School student whom the media tried to destroy for the unpardonable sin of wearing a MAGA hat. They invent all manner of lies, including the notion that he harassed Native American men. They incited a firestorm against him, suggesting he was a racist and even saying he had a “punchable face.”

But Sandmann didn’t let them get away with it. Sandmann filed several defamation suits against media outlets. He’s already gotten settlements from both CNN and the Washington Post.

But now he’s got another one to hang on his belt. Sandmann (now 19) announced the settlement of his $275million suit against NBC.

The settlement is confidential, so we don’t know exactly how much it’s for, but you have to think it’s for a good chunk of change. Sandmann said recently that he was facing six cases; there are five more and it is possible for others to be brought.

Sandmann had a conversation with Rittenhouse. He gave him valuable insight and a lot of advice. Sandmann also criticised the leftist students who tried to prevent Rittenhouse’s admission to Arizona State University.

Sean Hannity was told by him what it was like dealing with half of the country being against him.

“It’s terrible, Sean — as a 17-year-old in Kyle’s case and mine 16, your mind is still developing,” he told host Sean Hannity. “So to deal with an overload of stress where you have this feeling that half of the country — hundreds of millions of people — hate you for something that you are innocent of, but how you are painted can do a lot to you mentally.”

“It takes a very strong will to be able to resist that and keep a level head,” he added. “I think that Kyle Rittenhouse is dealing with that right now.”

Sandmann suggested Rittenhouse file suit as he did. However, he warned that there could be complications and that it was an individual decision. If he does, he might have even more people to sue than did Sandmann — including Joe Biden, which would be quite the case.
